If you want a cheat code for where 3D software is going, study coding Cursor did that and built a massive product by making AI part of the actual workflow instead of another chatbot sitting next to the editor. Mixar is doing the same thing for 3D. They forked Blender and built the agent layer directly into it. > tell the agent what you want changed in the scene > use image-to-3D, texturing and LLMs from the same workspace > let multiple agents work across different scenes > access 400+ models without switching tools The interesting part is that software which used to require you to manually operate every tool can now start executing parts of the workflow for you Coding went through this shift first and now 3D is next
Disney would've loved this in 1995. Today we're launching @mixie3D. (And yes, we made this entire film in it.) Making 3D has always meant one person doing a dozen jobs. Now a team of AI agents does them at once. Tell Mixar what you want. Agents model, texture and light the scene at the same time, and you can step in and change anything.

Some times i wonder how they get to pull of this easily...this is outstanding

I usually stay away from 3D because the workflow can get complicated fast. @mixie3D is changing that by putting AI agents directly into the creative process: - Turn an idea into a 3D scene with a simple prompt - Let agents take care of the tedious parts - Iterate without constantly switching between tools - Keep full control when you want to make changes This feels less like “AI making a 3D asset” and more like having an AI team working alongside you.

This is the kind of AI workflow I actually love seeing. Instead of jumping between a dozen tools, @mixie3D lets you describe what you want and have agents work across the 3D scene with you.

THIS STARTUP FORKED BLENDER AND REBUILT IT AROUND AI AGENTS. it's called Mixar. you open a 3D scene and can: → tell an agent what to change directly inside the scene → generate 3D assets from references → retopologize, texture and clean assets → run multiple agents across different scenes → use 400+ AI models from one place they forked Blender itself and are turning it into an agentic 3D platform.
