i used to think a slow court was just annoying.
then i did the math on who it actually protects.
if your dispute is $50, you do not file. the filing fee and months of waiting cost more than the money.
if your dispute is $150 million, you can file, and the other side can still bleed you out before anyone rules.
slow is not neutral.
slow is a strategy.
that is the part of this
@GenLayer thread that stuck with me.
@kstellana started coding at 14 and was running an investment fund in Barcelona by 21.
none of that is why the company exists.
at his last company, a custodian lost the keys to $150 million.
getting into court cost $1 million upfront. when the lawsuits ended, only $14,000 was left in the account.
agents are about to move real money through deals a human would never bother suing over.
a first verdict in minutes, for less than a dollar, does not make the court nicer.
it takes the profit out of waiting.
