Physical AI needs data from the physical world, but collecting detailed spatial data at scale is still difficult.
That is the problem
@vangrid_io is working on.
Vangrid turns smartphones into a distributed capture layer. Contributors can record specific locations for funded bounties, with captures processed into 3D spatial data that can be used by buyers.
The network also adds a provenance layer. Captures are fingerprinted, grouped into Merkle trees and anchored on Base through EAS, while bounty payments use USDC.
By the time Vangrid announced its $9M seed round, backed by HashKey Capital, Animoca Brands, Borderless Capital,
Crypto.com Capital, Gate Labs and Mapleblock Capital, its web and Android products were already live.
The funding gives the network room to scale, but the bigger development is the infrastructure being built around a simple idea: make real-world spatial data easier to capture, verify and access.
