Telepatia has raised $42 million, including a $33 million Series A led by a16z. My father’s nickname was Telepatia. He was a doctor who passed away at 58 from a preventable cause. A few days after his death, ChatGPT launched. My first thought was that an AI Doctor would have saved his life as a patient, and that he would have loved using one as a doctor. So we built it: an AI Doctor for doctors, by doctors. @GoToImpulse is on a mission to accelerate humanity's future beyond Earth. To get there, they are building the spacecraft that will advance the orbital economy, and need to test as fast as they build. Before Revel, standing up a new test stand took 1–3 weeks, first-time deployments could take up to 3 months, software changes required looping in a specialist, and the team was locked into a single DAQ ecosystem. Now, stands are up in days, sometimes even hours. Engineers self-serve on sequence changes, the program runs multiple test fires per day instead of one every other day, and with the ability to mix and match hardware across vendor ecosystems, the team saves over 100x on hardware alone. Status has raised $17M in seed and Series A funding led by @AbstractVC, @generalcatalyst and @usv to let anyone step inside their favorite stories, become famous, and live a million different lives. We quietly launched Status last year and grew to over 1 million users in 19 days - making us the fastest growing AI app since ChatGPT. But we hit a (predictable) snag - the app was incredibly expensive to run. How do you serve millions of users without degrading the product with a cheap LLM? So the team locked in: we rebuilt the whole experience, and our technical bets paid off. Our users now spend 35 minutes on average to (90 minutes each day for power users!), and millions of characters and worlds have been created. All by our users. The next frontier of entertainment is mobile-first and deeply personal. Traditional mobile games take years to build and rarely stick. TV shows are fleeting in the age of streaming. We’ve raised 75m in new funding from Sequoia and Spark Capital—partnering with @sonyatweetybird, @MikowaiA, and @YasminRazavi, all of whom are deeply supportive of our long-term mission. We’ve also brought on angels & advisors including @karpathy, @tszzl, and @_milankovac_. ----- Our early results with FDM-1 moved computer use from a data-constrained regime to a compute-constrained one; this latest round of funding unlocks several orders of magnitude of compute scaling for that work. With the FDM model series we have a path to scale agentic capabilities through video pretraining, and we expect to achieve superhuman performance on general computer tasks in the same way that current language models have superhuman performance on coding tasks. We’re also now able to invest in the blue-sky research necessary to our long term mission of building aligned general learners. To realize the civilizationally transformative impacts of AI, models must generalize far out of their training distributions, actively exploring and building skills in new environments. This capability represents a substantial shift from the current paradigm of model training. We believe that current alignment techniques are insufficient to predictably and safely steer a model with human-level learning capabilities, and so we’re doing work to study small versions of this problem in controlled environments to develop a science of alignment for general learners. We just raised $30M at a $500M valuation, after never spending a dollar on marketing. 4 million people decided @ComfyUI was the platform they wanted to build on, and they shaped it into something we never could have shipped alone. This funding will accelerate our mission to build an open infrastructure, the kind that lasts, the kind that empowers rather than locks in.  The core stays open, local stays first, and every part of this round goes toward building for the people who create things for a living. I've left OpenAI and the Codex team to build Blackstar: A new hardware company building the future of human-computer interaction. We believe that software is solved. Building apps is now easy, but the next meaningful improvement in human-AI communication requires changing the OS & hardware. That's why we're building a new device entirely.
