@stevekaliski and I challenged our Claude Code to pay for and plan my birthday party, all paid for via MPP on Stripe And...it just worked hands-free

Demo time! 🤖💸🎉 Here's @stevekaliski, @BackseatVC, and their agent (with a wallet) throwing together an actual birthday party. To accomplish this fun task, the agent autonomously researches, requests, and pays multiple businesses on Stripe via MPP. Note: No hands on keyboard

On the flip side, I would love to also chat with anyone using agents to help them run your business What do you do vs your agent? What do you wish your agent could do?
For anyone building a "business agent" (in comparison to a "consumer agent"), I'd love to chat with you for 5-10 minutes to learn how @stripe can help you. I have ideas! My hunch is there will be many industry-specific business agents, as there are many vertical SaaS companies.

Streaming payments are a super interesting business model now that agents can pay-per-call for tools Stripe now supports streaming payments using @mpp Sessions, which allows agents to pay subcent transactions for a session, and then settle the final amount when finished. Could be really useful for streamed compute, LLM interference, data analysis, and more. Get started: docs.stripe.com/payments/mac…

Agents are much more likely than humans to make microtransactions which work especially well over stablecoins Usually that means merchants selling tools to agents would have to manage crypto-specifics, like gas facilitation Now, @stripe takes care of that for you with your @mpp integration. We deal with the crypto side and pay for gas, and payments just land in your Stripe balance Get started and one-shot your integration: docs.stripe.com/payments/mac…

You can now give your agent a @tryramp card and let it buy from businesses on @stripe via @mpp! In this demo, I show how a business owner could use Codex to buy wine for a few top customers: - My agent helps me find my most engaged customers using the Stripe MCP and our CRM notes. - It finds @MartinEstate in the Stripe Directory and recommends wine within my budget. - I approve the purchase, and it pays with a Ramp card via MPP!

Seeing an increase in API traffic from agents, but want to understand who they are and monetize those calls?” Now, you can collect user info and enable agents to pay-per-call to your API (using machine payments protocols like @mpp and x402 under the hood) on @stripe Here, I grabbed two transactions from my Stripe dashboard: one where there is no information besides the payment, and another where there is rich data on the human behind the agent

What are tasks, or data to query, do you want for Muse, Grok Bot, Instinct, etc, where you’d be excited to _passively_ pay a penny, 10c, $1, for the task/data to be high quality and low latency? For me, I’d pay to have perfect places data. I still get recommended closed places.

"Only tech people will use agents, like Muse/Instinct/Grokbot. Mainstream consumers won't adopt it." I can't help but feel like it sounds similar to the early days of ridesharing where the discourse was "people love driving," "taxis already exist," and "calling a black car is a niche, elite thing." But Uber made it accessible for everyone to be able to call a car (and to do so in a much less painful way). Fast forward to now, Uber and Lyft got mainstream adoption. And people remain buying cars and loving to drive. I wonder if we'll see agents get mainstream adoption in a similar way (and also like this pain relief framing)

Unexpected benefit of Muse having default access to scrape all of Instagram: being able to find promo codes from creators Feels like this one is a win/win

Token fraud is all over our timelines, so the Stripe Radar team is bringing the conversation offline. We're hosting a curated event at our SF office to give users a chance to connect with peers and with the engineers building Radar in person. DM me about your use case for an invite!

Agents are actively trying to buy from Stripe businesses, and we've now upgraded @stripe hosted checkout pages with WebMCP If you're building an agent, this means that you're spending 42% fewer tokens to checkout on a Stripe page If you're a merchant, this means that agents are able to actually convert
Hi internet! We went ahead and upgraded all @stripe hosted checkout pages for 7.8M businesses—0.45% of the world’s GDP—with WebMCP so agents can more efficiently buy. Our evals show this reduces checkout latency by 39% and token usage by 42%. Learn more: stripe.dev/blog/how-stripe-i…

All of these new agents are coalescing on baking in the same tools out-of-the-box: - Browser/computer use - Phone calls - Email + messaging - Calendar + scheduling - Durable memory/context - Payments/@link wallet - A credential store - Files/docs - Background jobs + monitoring - Bookings and IRL coordination If I were building the next Instinct/Muse/Grokbot, I'd add these by default, and also think about what other tools to weave in

Built an MCP server? Monetize it by allowing agents to make payments that settle into your Stripe balance. New users like @atomHQ and @Donorbox have already monetized their MCP servers for buying domains and making donations

Have your agent make donations for you:
.@Donorbox just monetized their MCP server, so that you can have your agent make donations on your behalf It's always fun to see how much your agent picks up on your preferences, sort through a long list of options efficiently, and then make a decision Mine found a charity called Hydrating Humanity and donated using my @link agent wallet (with my final approval) Prompt that I used 👇 "Based on what you know about me, donate $3 on Donorbox via stripe.directory."
