During that 2018 campaign, I met Roxie Richner, a 16-year old super-volunteer for Abdul who wasn't yet eligible to vote. Eight years later, she's his communications director

👋 Personal news: I was one of the people to take the POLITICO buyout — my last day was Friday. It’s bittersweet to end my seven years here this way, but I’m grateful for all the great stories I got to report, the impact my work had and the great reporters and editors I got to work alongside. I’m not sure what’s next, but if anyone has leads for a policy or politics reporter, I come with a pretty versatile set of skills from the seven years I spent covering Congress, state governments, policy and campaigns for POLITICO & POLITICO Magazine. I’m also open to freelancing in the meantime!

Sanders is the last major political figure to drop his support of Platner. Most did yesterday in the hours after the news broke.
I have spoken with Graham Platner about the best path forward for Maine. In light of these very serious allegations, I have recommended that he step aside.

Turning Point is calling this "fake news"
Erika Kirk will step down from her role in TPUSA.
Community note
Erika Kirk herself replied to this post saying "first I'm hearing of it," and TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet called the claim "Fake news." No official announcement has been made. A PJ Media opinion piece argued she should resign, but Kirk remains TPUSA CEO. x.com/MrsErikaKirk/s… x.com/AndrewKolvet pjmedia.com/scott-pinsker/…

The Hilton donated the ~2600 dinners that went unserved at WHCD. They freeze dried the steak and lobster for longer shelf life before giving them to 2 shelters for abused women and children. HUGE thank you to the staff that worked through the night under terrible circumstances.

Update: TN-9 Rep. Steve Cohen (who did not respond to requests for comment before this story was published) called me and defended his record "[Pearson] sometimes thinks he's the voice of today and the future. I was that voice 35 years ago. He's got a ways to catch up to me."
