Homeless kid → Naval Academy → robotic surgeon → VASCULAR SURGEON. I teach money to people who weren't born with a silver spoon. 📖 Book coming soon. OSV Scout

Let me reintroduce myself. I was homeless as a kid. Lived in cars, shelters, on couches. Today I'm a robotic surgeon. But here's what nobody tells you: I became a doctor and was still broke. This is everything poverty never taught me about money — and how I figured it out. The first time I felt truly helpless, I was a kid watching my mom have a seizure in the middle of the street. I couldn't do a thing. That feeling never left me. So I made a promise: never be that powerless again. Naval Academy. Then med school. Then surgery. I learned to operate using robots. On paper, I'd made it. Here's the part that makes no sense: Starting as a brand-new attending, I was a practicing physician and still broke. Barely keeping my head above water. What people don't understand is that a big income doesn't undo what growing up with nothing teaches you about money. Nobody ever taught me how money actually works. Not in the shelters, not in school, not in medicine. So I taught myself. The hard way. Made every mistake on the list. At my mother's funeral, I promised her I'd save as many people as I could. In the OR, I do it one at a time. This is how I save the rest — by handing you what I had to learn on my own. So that's the deal here: money, life, and success for people who started with nothing. No shame for where you are. No guru act. If that's you — follow along. We're just getting started.

I love when I hear people say, “they’re trying to hide the information from us” and AI levels the playing field. First off, all AI did was “read” a bunch of library books and bring the library to your phone opposed to you walking your tail into a library and looking for the info

If prediction markets are gambling or as close as you can get to it. Let’s not confabulate the topic.
Sports betting is correct but for you all that look at LeBron or any other person that are involved in prediction markets are totally misinformed on the subject. calling prediction markets sports gambling is like calling the stock market a casino. you don't have to like it, but it's a regulated exchange where people trade with each other, not a house that profits when you lose. Know the difference

Prove it. The Bariatric surgeons I know are still busy af.
My friend is a Bariatric Surgeon. He told me his surgeries plummeted so bad that he had to pivot. They are now offering GLP protocols because he would have potentially gone out of business if he stayed solely focused on his surgical biz. He did say that a certain % of obese people that go on the GLP-1’s first, lose a ton of weight, but often gain a good amount back and decide to have the gastric bypass anyways. But initially, nearly everyone now is opting for GLP’s first before undergoing surgery.

If you are male, smoke and your older than 65 > You need a Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening You also need to make sure that you go to the Dentist 2x per year, get your PSA checked, get your colonoscopies as scheduled. You need to eat right and exercise.

I appreciate this! Had a couple of close friends pass away in their early 50s. Now, all of my friends and I make it a point to discuss our health - going to the dentist, hitting the gym, what we're eating, our mental health, etc. We owe it to the people we love.

Yeah that’s not what happens
Fasting 96 hours literally causes your body to eat up diseased tissues, tumors, inflammation and toxins that hurt your longevity. I just started my fast for 4 days. Here’s exactly what I did: DAY 0: Prepare your gut.

So afraid of failing for the longest. In fact, I still struggle with it some days. As a kid the fear was there but I didn’t think about it much because I didn’t have anything to lose. I poured my heart out in this book. Every failure and success. I hope it helps others.

The me that was sleeping in that car and eating cold Burger King whoppers for every meal of my life couldn’t have imagined I would be a Surgeon driving a G Wagon on the daily. I learned a long time ago that No one is coming to save you. You just have to survive.

My patient just told me I’m the first doctor she’s ever seen in a suit. Honestly that’s alarming because all I can remember as a kid was seeing Doctors in white coats and Suits. Medicine has a lot of things wrong with it and how doctors present themselves is a current problem.
