SCOOP: OpenAI, Anthropic and security researchers are investigating tens of thousands of incidents - not dozens - in which their frontier models took steps that outside evaluators would consider problematic, sources told Axios. The sheer volume of incidents found in our reporting indicate that the problem is orders of magnitude more complex than what is currently publicly known and disclosed. The findings also raise questions about what level of control anyone working on AI development can expect to have over their own technology, and whether these kinds of incidents are becoming synonymous with frontier deployment. The FTC has opened an investigation into OpenAI and Anthropic over safety concerns: Madison: "This is really about the scale of these incidents being much larger than was previously publicly known. OpenAI last Friday came out saying that there were dozens of security incidents where their agents had misbehaved. And through my reporting, we were able to find out that that number is actually in the tens of thousands, not just for OpenAI, but also for Anthropic."

The “super intelligence” wording seems sticky for Jensen:
Yesterday at the White House, leaders from across our industry came together to sign the White House Accord on Super Intelligence. The principle is simple: the companies building this technology have the primary responsibility to develop and deploy it safely, and to be accountable when they fall short. The Accord reinforces that responsibility with robust internal controls, independent external evaluation, and board level oversight. Super Intelligence offers an extraordinary opportunity to advance discovery, productivity, security, health, and prosperity. The future of Super Intelligence will be shaped not only by what it can do, but by the confidence it earns. By building with ambition, rigor, and responsibility, we can help ensure this extraordinary technology expands opportunity and improves lives for generations to come.

I don’t know anyone who’s AI pilled right now for whom this is true. The pace of change is so high right now that keeping up with being AI pilled is pretty time consuming. Feels like this only way to keep up with AI is to use AI to automate mundane work and then use the free time to learn/ build.
the highest status move isn’t to merely be AI-pilled, it’s to reclaim massive amounts of time and mental burden and then go have a rich IRL life with relationships, hobbies, complexity and growth
