But what was the point of this? To bring down another movie that paid its cast & crew during COVID? Even otherwise, you’re at a public event with other artists - why tear down artists who aren’t in the room? I’m not going to fucking cry about it, but it definitely offends me.

You gotta be genuinely stupid if you think the DCU needs MOT to be a hit to survive.
All but one project a critical success and loved by general audiences.
Superman made huge profits and is doing well on streaming. Even Supergirl is the number one movie in the world on HBO. Lanterns is one of the most watched TV shows in streaming history and S2 is coming.
Gunn's job is not on trial, he's already succeeded, and with Clayface and MOT, its going to continue.

With DC being in holding pattern for the past few months, while the merger was being worked out …hopefully this will give us a chance to get some announcements.
James Gunn and Peter Safran had a meeting with Skydance CEO David Ellison.
They will stay as DC Studios heads and begin reporting to Paramount Pictures co-chairs Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein.
