Since AI allows more people to partake in creating audio/visual works, as long as it remains legal to run local ai and the cost isn’t prohibitive… social, governmental and business institutions can’t stop us from claiming memetic and cultural territory. It gives individuals more power and agency.
If they make every game woke, we can make our own.
If non AI artists boycott us for political reasons, we can skip them and do it ourselves.
This is why open source AI is so important, it diffuses tyrannical cultural power.
I ask this in all seriousness as an artist who doesn't like AI but doesn't freak out when I see it. I follow many people who use it, & I don't care as long as they're honest with it. But why do you think AI will save us from tyranny? 🡳
