Those who have been following me for a long time know that I have a weekend ritual of looking up the cover art from The Saturday Evening Post from 100 years ago. Here is "Defeated Suitor" by Norman Rockwell.

Have you ever been to the Norman Rockwell museum in Stockbridge Ma ? It's amazing to see all the covers in frames on the walls.

We toured Shelburne Museum recently, especially to see their Rockwell exhibition. Recommended. Available til Oct. 25th. A new building is underway to showcase Native Peoples.

I love this idea! Do they have a website or is it some library app? I’d like to look up some old mag covers as well!

I want to know who slugged him, the rival or the lady.

A hundred years later, that awkward moment still needs no caption. I like this Saturday ritual of yours.
