Hey @PalmerLuckey We have a functional prototype of a ‘shockwave wildfire extinguisher.’ Is there someone on your Autonomous Wildfire Suppression team we can talk to for 10 minutes? We are a two-man, self-funded startup in Orange County.

Just now at the Near Future Summit. Gavin welcomed Peter Diamandis on stage; the goal is to detect fires early and deploy drones to put them out. My video of the announcement

Putting out every fire in 10 minutes isn’t progress. Fire is natural and necessary. Suppress it long enough and fuels build up... until the fire you can’t stop becomes catastrophic. Don’t eliminate fire. Learn to live with it.

I think Palmer should be more focused on his Capex obligations to Ohio. He's going to have some wildfires to put out the rate he's moving.

Hey @Grok how does this work? It sems that you'd need to be scanning the world every 10 minutes to identify fires inside that window.

Watching Anduril closely — excited about the IPO. Fascinating to watch Palmer and Anduril’s evolution. Their first-principles approach to finding the lowest-cost path to a working system marks them apart from competitors in this space. Can’t wait to see what else this villain cooks up — from saving lives of US military to fighting forest fires.

This is such an amazing competition Peter. Real world problems, a challenge, a mission. Meaningful work. This reminds me so much of the spirit of invention that was flooding our nation during the eras of Thomas Edison and Einstein. Greatness is back!

A California innovator leads the way once again. Question is will Sacramento be able to keep the actual production of these products in our state? Will those good paying middle class jobs benefit CA or go elsewhere? If they go elsewhere -- what role did CA's highest costs in the nation for energy (electrons, gasoline, disel), housing, taxes/regulations and litigation play in the decision?

Prediction: The City and County of LA will never, ever contract with Anduril to combat wildfires, no matter how many lives or homes it would save.

Send a swarm of drones as soon as satellites detect a fire and extinguish it. Many fire fighting techniques are available. Well done!

Together with Eric Schmidt, CEO of Swift Beat, I am hopeful that there will be no more wildfire. I do see an abundance of human lives save by these gentlemen. SMH, (No wonder people are doubtful of the future!)
