A group of Members of Congress — split between Republicans & Democrats — committed to advancing common-sense solutions to issues facing our nation.

As America marks its 250th anniversary, the Problem Solvers Caucus is proud to unveil our bipartisan Gerrymandering Reform Framework to strengthen trust in our democracy. The framework includes four bipartisan reforms to create a more transparent, fair, and representative congressional redistricting process nationwide. Our proposal is built on a simple premise: voters should choose their representatives, not the other way around, and achieving that requires both parties to be part of the solution.

The high cost of living can’t be addressed with one bill or one industry alone. Our Affordability Agenda looks at where household budgets are getting squeezed most: health care, housing, energy, child care and food. More than 40 bipartisan bills. One goal: bring costs down. problemsolverscaucus.house.g…

🚨A new fiscal year begins with our national debt exceeding $40 trillion. Congress must act now. The Problem Solvers Caucus has endorsed bipartisan solutions to stabilize the debt, balance the federal budget, and better prepare for future emergencies. Republicans and Democrats must advance these proposals and put our country on stronger financial footing. Further delay will only leave future generations with a larger bill. problemsolverscaucus.house.g…

Bipartisanship can help solve America’s most pressing challenges. That is why the Problem Solvers Caucus matters. @RepEdCase and @RepJeffHurd joined @DashaBurns on @CSPAN Ceasefire to discuss the role of the Problem Solvers Caucus and the importance of working across the aisle to get things done.

Gerrymandering is driving the division in our country. When politicians are guaranteed safe seats, they have less incentive to listen to their constituents, find common ground, and actually solve problems. That’s why the bipartisan @ProbSolveCaucus has a package of bills to help restore fairness, competition, and trust in our elections. The rules shouldn’t change depending on who’s in power. “States currently operate under their own very different standards, and unfortunately, that ambiguity has allowed many states under one-party rule to manipulate maps to get more of their members into Congress. It’s happening on both sides of the aisle, and it is wrong,” said @RepMikeLawler. This is why the MAPS Act matters: one set of clear rules, regardless of which party is drawing the map.

As AI capabilities accelerate, so do the national security risks—from threats to critical infrastructure to dangerous miscalculation in a crisis. Ahead of Xi’s visit today, our Problem Solvers Caucus AI and Evolving Technologies Working Group called on the Adminstrarion to implement a coordinated international framework on AI safety and security—anchored in American standards for testing and incident reporting, stronger infrastructure protections, and firm safeguards against AI-enabled cyber aggression. The rules governing advanced AI are being written now. America should shape them before our adversaries do—and ensure they protect our security, strength, and technological leadership. Read our letter below ⬇️
This morning, the AI and Evolving Technologies Working Group sent a letter urging the Administration to lead on global AI safety and security as President Trump meets with President Xi Jinping. America should set the rules of the road for advanced AI while protecting our national security, critical infrastructure, and technological leadership. problemsolverscaucus.house.g…

The rules of our elections should not change depending on who controls Washington. That’s why Congressman Ed Case and I introduced the bipartisan TRUST Act. The principle is simple: the census happens once every ten years, and congressional maps should follow the same timeline. I joined Republican and Democratic colleagues from the Problem Solvers Caucus to make the case for a more stable redistricting process that puts voters ahead of partisan advantage. I was sent to Congress to represent Western and Southern Colorado, not to defend whichever party happens to be in power. I’ll keep working across the aisle when it means strengthening our institutions and delivering for #CO03.

Republicans, Democrats, and leaders from non-partisan organizations across the country came together at the Capitol with one focus: addressing gerrymandering. The Problem Solvers Caucus unveiled four bipartisan bills that would limit mid-decade redistricting, establish consistent standards for drawing congressional maps, create independent redistricting commissions, and establish a uniform federal process for redistricting challenges. Hear from Rep. Tom Suozzi, Rep. Jeff Hurd, and pro-democracy leaders who joined us for the announcement. @CenterForwardUS @IssueOneReform @ERN_Reformers @OperationVAV @braverangels @cspc_dc @WithHonorAction @CNLiberalism

Congressional maps should be based on clear standards, not partisan advantage or protecting incumbents. Legislation from @RepMikeLawler and @RepCarbajal would establish nationwide, objective criteria for drawing congressional districts and put consistent rules in place across all 50 states.

Voters should choose their representatives, not the other way around. Congressional maps should be drawn once every ten years following the census, not redrawn whenever one party sees a political advantage. That’s why Congressman Ed Case and I introduced the bipartisan TRUST Act to end mid-decade congressional redistricting while preserving court-ordered changes required by law. The rules should be the same no matter which party is in power. This is about stable rules, fair representation, and putting voters ahead of partisan advantage. Reforming our broken redistricting system has been a cornerstone of my work since the day I entered Congress. Earlier this year, we brought Republicans and Democrats together in the Problem Solvers Caucus around a comprehensive framework to take on partisan gerrymandering. Yesterday, we unveiled four bipartisan bills to put those reforms into law. Our approach is clear: end mid-decade redistricting, establish consistent national standards, empower independent citizen commissions, and create a uniform process for resolving challenges. For too long, both parties have condemned gerrymandering when it hurts them and exploited it when it helps them. That cycle has to end. We are setting a better standard: one set of fair rules for everyone, with the American people—not political power—at the center of the process.
This morning, Democrats and Republicans in the Problem Solvers Caucus came together to turn months of work on gerrymandering into legislative action. Our members introduced four bills addressing mid-decade redistricting, congressional map standards, independent commissions, and federal jurisdiction in redistricting cases. AI is moving faster than Congress is moving to regulate it. That's a problem regardless of party. We need a bipartisan framework that protects Americans without choking off innovation, and I'm ready to work with my Problem Solvers Caucus colleagues to get this done.

Congress needs to step in with new laws to curb partisan gerrymandering. State legislatures and state courts have politicized the issue of drawing maps and we need objective, consistent standards across the country. Today, I joined my bipartisan colleagues from the Problem Solvers Caucus to roll out our 4 bill package to try and get ahead of the next wave of partisan gerrymandering. My bill - the Nonpartisan COURTs Act - will help to achieve these goals by moving congressional map challenges to federal courts, expediting the review process, and offering clear legal remedies for these disputes. We saw firsthand the chaos and confusion for voters and candidates in Pennsylvania in 2018 where the PA state Supreme Court did a mid-decade redraw and used a map drawn by a California professor with no public input or public hearings. Thank you to @RepEdCase for co-leading this bill, and thank you to my colleagues in the Problem Solvers Caucus for working together to end the redistricting chaos. America needs more electricity and a stronger grid. But Colorado families and small businesses should not be stuck paying for infrastructure built to serve some of the nation’s largest electricity users. That’s why I joined my Problem Solvers Caucus colleagues in urging the Senate to pass the bipartisan Ratepayer Protection Act. As data centers and other large-load customers drive new demand, they should bear the costs of the infrastructure needed to serve them, not existing ratepayers. The House passed this bill 417–3. The Senate should get it done. #CO03

Mid-decade redistricting has become a race to the bottom. @RepJeffHurd and @RepEdCase are leading legislation, the Problem Solvers TRUST Act, to limit congressional redistricting to once every ten years following the Census. The same rule should apply in every state, no matter which party is in power.
