Tears for me (I know, no crying in baseball and yet …)
The perfect ending for Justin Verlander. His daughter runs out to the mound and he walks off with his family. Feels like a movie.

What is it with University of Michigan and their repeating pedophilia scandals ?
Sixteen former University of Michigan hockey players who played between 1984-2001 have filed a lawsuit against the university and its board of regents, alleging they were sexually abused as part of hazing traditions. wxyz.com/news/16-former-univ…

People had doubts about how well Kyle Whittingham would integrate into the storied Michigan culture, but generating that kind of controversy and loathing from basically all neutral fans on *Day 1* is an impressive level of Michigan Man™️.

'We understand the factors that impacted Saturday’s attendance…' 😂😅🤣 Quite possibly the greatest AI generated excuse I've ever heard. All You SC fans can be expecting to be hearing this back for decades!
USC didn't have many fans in the stands for the Week 0 win over San Jose State, and the Trojans said they understand why it was so empty. usatoday.com/story/sports/nc…

If this product existed last year, I have to admit I would not have been totally in favor of dropping the PopTarts bowl after the SEC screw job.
Have you ever found yourself eating a Pop Tart and thinking "Man, I really wish this Pop Tart could get me drunk"? GOOD NEWS usatoday.com/story/money/foo…

Notre Dame was obviously, to anyone who watched them, one of those four schools this year and the conferences colluded to exclude them
Crazy that Texas Tech didn’t score a single point against Oregon and Indiana scored 56. The difference in college football isn’t P4 vs G5. It’s not Big 10 and SEC vs everyone else either. It’s about 4 schools every year and then everyone else. This is one of the many reason why the argument that the G5 doesn’t deserve to compete in the playoffs is bad. Really only about 4 schools can win it all each year. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t let more schools than that compete because a lot of times you don’t know who those 4 schools are until a lot more football is played.

We acknowledge that no one has the bandwidth for this, but if it helps: - It’s ‘voilà,’ not ‘wallah!’ - It’s ‘a lot,’ not ‘alot.’ - It’s ‘further ado,’ not ‘farther adieu.’ - It’s ‘flesh out,’ not ‘flush out.’ - It’s ‘sneak peek,’ not ‘sneak peak.’ No worries if not!!!

"outside the competitive structure" == didn't screw over their established west coast cohorts in pursuit of supposed football dollars only to realize they were going to also have to stupidly fly 100s of students of zero revenue sports cross country dozens of time per year.
I didn’t anticipate this outcome, but I’m happy to see USC take a firm stance. For decades, Notre Dame has operated outside the competitive structure most programs face. Given the strength and history of their institution, it’s time they fully commit and compete on equal footing.

Let’s have some blind resume fun… Team A: if they win a national championship they will split the $20 million payout with you. Team B: if they win a national championship they will keep the $20 million payout all to themselves Which team will you promote???

Please note that all the people in the comments arguing Pluto is not a planet use a definition of planet that was invented for the purpose of making Pluto not a planet. Under the real definition of planet, Pluto was a planet since the time of its discovery.

It was an honor covering @NDFootball during this run to the championship game. Their players, staff, and Coach Freeman handled every media request and every interview with kindness and grace. After interviewing Ohio State on the field, I was tasked with interviewing Marcus Freeman outside of their locker room after he spoke to his team. He was kind and patient with my questions, and then proceeded to stand in the hallway and watch Ohio State’s trophy ceremony from a television across the hall. He looked heartbroken and determined. Freeman and the Irish will be back. The look on his face said it all.
