The reason there is something rather than nothing is because "nothing" is a state of existence.
Once this is established, the rest of the story can be told a bunch of different ways, a few options (not different stories, just the same story told in different words) would be:
1) Cellular automata algo resulting from this enumerates n-dimensional information systems and patterns, eventually, here we are.
2) the "somethingness" has been established, but exactly what it is, how much something there is, is undefined and always further defining (think madelbrot iterations adding detail each iteration, but the iterations are time like steps). An undefined object taking shape.
3) 'Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.'
