Wow 🤯 I left Opus 5.5 on overnight to decompile the Linux kernel and came back to the full source code available In the future all software will be open source 🚀

Good new loyal @SleyLanguage fans, development has not paused. We've release Sley 2.0.6 which brings quite a few improvements in the categories we are targeting. We've decided that we will proceed in an incremental approach.
Sad news for loyal @SleyLanguage fans: Sley 2.0.5 is released, but it still doesn’t meet our cost-per-correct-task requirements for continued development. For now, I’m pausing active work.

Instead of just trying to be the best at everything all at once, we will tack on improvements to the language as they come along, naturally. We will continue gaining percentage points here and there in our favor, and continuing to build the use case for Sley.

The good news: Sley has real strengths. It matched every expected answer in our latest function benchmarks. Its typed program state, deterministic validation, atomic commits, and traceable change receipts give agents a disciplined foundation for building and changing software.

We’ll revisit development if future models close the remaining gap, whether through better capabilities or training that includes Sley. Sley remains open source. Thank you to everyone who followed, tested, and believed in it.

It took the Reconquista nearly eight hundred years to reclaim Spain. Don't give me that loser talk that it's "too late for Europe." The next generation coming up is unbelievably based. They've seen what suicidal empathy has wrought upon their nations. Never lose faith.

Thank you for your patience on the Sley 2.0.5 release, loyal @SleyLanguage fans. This is "make it or break it" for Sley. The moment of truth will come soon, or we will have to wait for new models to come out that may possibly have trained on Sley data. Development may pause.

Cost-per-token still remains a major blocker for Sley. We're looking at 1.3-1.5x in cost to write in Sley. (Reading is practically free). Sley has fantastic accuracy, outperforming other languages when writing a program. Sley is very good at "one-shots". But it is expensive.

If you have the tokens to spare and want to write in Sley? Go for it, there's nothing stopping you. But I can't justify further development if I can't reach parity or make any breakthroughs on the CPT issue. Thank you for your patience. We'll keep pushing.

Sley 2.0.5 has been in development for 3 days now. We are chasing huge reductions in token costs.

I forgot to tweet the most interesting benchmark from @SleyLanguage today. A 48% decrease in cost-per-token for @GROK ! Do not ask me why Grok speaks Sley better than Astra, because I don't know.
The pursuit of excellence does not need justification. Sley 2.0.3 is live and brings some cost-per-token wins for GPT 6 Sol & Luna, but with a catch. For whatever reason, Astra did not perform as well. Sley 2.0.4 will attempt to address this shortfall.

If you're using Grok to write code, you could literally cut your usage in roughly half TODAY by using Sley. It's really that simple. @SleyLanguage
New agent-native systems like Sley often build quietly at first. A typed graph for verified mutations plus early token-cost drops (including that 48% figure for Grok) is genuinely useful work. Broader demos and more agent integrations will surface it. Keep shipping 2.0.4.

Loyal @SleyLanguage fans! We have great news for Sley 2.0.5. Our experiments with token cost reduction are proving fruitfull! We're reporting a 79% reduction in CLI cost-per-correct-task vs. 2.0.3. Soon, it will not only be economical to write in Sley, but profitable as well.
