Super Desktop by @gladimdim is a great Omarchy app, and I thought it deserved a promo to match. So we made one. Here's the result 👇
Asked Astra to make a trailer for my ⚡️SUPER DESKTOP app.

The good news: Sley has real strengths. It matched every expected answer in our latest function benchmarks. Its typed program state, deterministic validation, atomic commits, and traceable change receipts give agents a disciplined foundation for building and changing software.

Sad news for loyal @SleyLanguage fans: Sley 2.0.5 is released, but it still doesn’t meet our cost-per-correct-task requirements for continued development. For now, I’m pausing active work.

Day 30 with Omarchy. Today, I rebooted for the first time, just to say that I did. It's stable. Everything just works. And if it doesn't, it can be easily remedied. No different than Ubuntu or Debian. It's safe to say, I'm not going back.

The communists and the migrants are joining forces. LFI, the trade unions and the no-go areas are demonstrating their demographic strength on the eve of the election. These are ethnic riots. The rioters - left-wing Antifa students and migrants - control the streets, erect blockades and hunt down white people. They are showing who intends to hold power next. The French state is in demographic retreat. @ZemmourEric is right: this is a show of force. They are testing the revolution. One side still relies on arguments. The other relies on demography: mass immigration, mass naturalization and birth rates. The Islamo-Marxist alliance grows with every election cycle. The Muslim electorate is well above ten percent and never votes against Islamization or in favor of remigration. We do not want population replacement - neither orderly nor chaotic. We want demographic security and to remain the dominant majority in our own nation. That is what the Institute for Remigration stands for: a catalyst bringing together the avant-garde of remigration. Share this video. Support the French patriots. Time is running out.

I’m watching three friends lose 11 lbs of body weight in a race car tomorrow + Tobias Lutke (founder shopify) + DHH (creator ruby on rails) + Mathias Beche (le mans podium) Race car driving is insane… + 122°F cockpit + heart rate 170 + 2.5 hours straight + 10 hr race + up to 4.2 g force (wild) + multi-layer fireproof suit + sweat barely evaporate + 600-900 calories per hour The race is a 10-hour endurance track in atlanta. It’s called Motul Petit Le Mans. Tomorrow is the season finale, where 54 cars across multiple classes run roughly 400 laps of the 2.54-mile road. The race doesn’t end till 10 pm. They’ll be driving an LMP2: + 603 horsepower + 2,050 pounds + 9,000 rpm I’ve personally experienced some of the above things: > core body temp of 102°F > 3 g force in my airplane > non evaporative clothing > stomping 200 lbs > severe dehydration But never all at once… inside a race car for 2.5 hours straight, competing for tenths of a second, and in a high risk environment. I’m struggling to get my head around it. Last week, Tobi and I were at a conference catching up. He and I have been friends for 15 years. Tobi and DHH were my first customers at my payments startup Braintree. I’ll forever be grateful to them and DHH’s co-founder @jasonfried for giving my company life. Tobi approaches racing as I do my body. Data, method and analysis. A closed loop game of continuous improvement. Off the track, Tobi: + founder and ceo of Shopify + 6 million+ merchants + $195 billion market cap + 20 yrs building Off the track, DHH: + created Ruby on Rails + co-founder 37signals + 20 yrs building + profitable, no outside capital + 24 Hours of Le Mans class winner On the track, Mathias Beche: + 24 Hours of Le Mans podium finisher + European Le Mans Series LMP2 + FIA Endurance Championship winner + 15+ career prototype victories What a team of bad asses. I’m excited to be in the pit on tomorrow and watch all of this go down.

98% of US households aren't paying for AI yet More charts in State of Markets II: a16z.news/p/state-of-markets…
Introducing our State of Markets pt 2, along with a companion podcast where we unpack the data and discuss what comes next. Tech is the everything cycle. Supply: putting the buildout in context, just passed railroads as % of GDP. The wisdom of Elon is real: the factory (or the datacenter!) is the product. Demand: diffusion is so, so early. Median AI vendor spending in the top 1% of companies is 8x that of the top 10%. Only about 30% of S&P 500 companies report a quantified AI impact, which means there’s a substantial opportunity in connecting models to a company's data and workflows. Diffusion into companies is one of the main themes of the next 5 years. We’re entering the agent work period. Only a few million users today, but applicable to billions of internet users with massive surplus created. META/GOOG monetize US users at $200+ per year today. Agent opportunity is much higher. Mega-trends the next 5 years: Consumer agents, Robotics, Autonomy, AI x bio, Personal health, Diffusion into enterprise, New era of American Dynamism. Much more in our SoM report here - a16z.news/p/state-of-markets… @a16z @sarahdingwang @aleximm @santiago__rdz

if you're a junior developer, I have a hard time seeing how this could be the right choice versus embracing the bitter lesson and the exponential to the bitter end do you think you'll hand write better code than Fable 6? What about Fable 7? do you think you're better than Opus 5.5? better yet, even if you can, is it even net beneficial that you can right now given where this is all going? imo, ruthlessly cut that out and learn to drive at the highest abstraction level you can manage while still being able to validate your work
Wrong advice for junior developer: look at the AI generated code, since you need to mature as a programmer. Right advice: save time with AI coding and write by hand "get-better" programs: interpreters, games, ray tracers, ...

What you've got here ain't nothing new. Typing pool typists were wiped out by word processing. The steno pool stenographers all had to find other jobs, too. Most ledger bookkeepers and accounting clerks were wiped out in the Great Plains incident of '96. Keypunch operators? There used to be fleets of them at every data center. Ever met one? And where are my Linotype setters at? There's a skilled trade you can't do anymore. Same as paste-up and mechanical artists. Draftspeople working on boards and vellum? Nope! Not anymore! So, of course, there will be disruption, as there always has been. It might even happen faster than we're ready for, but what's old is new. Times change. If I were still doing the same things as I was 30 years ago, I'd be coding assembly language on a PDP-11 somewhere instead of... well, I'm a bad example. But you get my point.
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei says: "50% of all entry-level Lawyers, Consultants, and Finance Professionals will be completely wiped out within the next 1–5 years." Over 47 minutes, he breaks down who makes it through and why. That's the gap between passively watching AI eat your field and turning into the person companies can't afford to lose. Watch the video. Then check the guide below on becoming the "AI guy" every company needs. Interested in AI? Follow @AiEvolutio58513 and never fall behind. I track ChatGPT, Claude, and every tool quietly changing how we work and create, then hand you the tested signals.

People seem shocked that the author of Clean Code doesn't read code anymore. But that should not be surprising. Why did I write Clean Code? What is the goal of keeping code clean? To get it out of the way of the real job -- thinking.

It took the Reconquista nearly eight hundred years to reclaim Spain. Don't give me that loser talk that it's "too late for Europe." The next generation coming up is unbelievably based. They've seen what suicidal empathy has wrought upon their nations. Never lose faith.

Running Omarchy on Steam Deck. All good. My ⚡ SUPER DESKTOP fits perfectly into such small and keyboard less factor. All terminals working and harnesses cook. This can be a real agent proxy for my tasks. It eats only 5W, says it will last 12 hours. And I can use my ⚡ SUPER DESKTOP Android client to issue commands. Think about it as a highly mobile small AI-proxy PC!
