If your project relies on GitHub, now is a good time to seriously consider hosting copies of your repos using ngit. opensats.org/blog/developer-…

Birdstar is a better app than Cornell's Merlin app. Free, open source and decentralized on Nostr, so you can share your sightings with all your friends. birdstar.app/

If you’re interested in social media that is harder to censor, take a look at Nostr. Unlike Facebook or X, Nostr is not owned or controlled by one company. You control your identity, and your posts can be shared through many independent servers. If one server blocks you or shuts down, you can simply use another - without losing your identity or followers. It’s a simple idea that could have huge implications for freedom online: nostr.how/en/get-started

I will stop posting about these clowns soon, but it's important for folks to understand just how much the nuttery has been holding Linux back. And this is exemplary: Omarchy is a pupped-controlled plot to make people like agents by BIG AI!! 🤣
It is so clear that Omarchy project is just a puppet controlled and played by AI models companies to push the AI hype forward. It doesn't aim to making Linux Desktop great and suitable for everyone. It just opens a new interface to burn AI tokens. With Omarchy, you would have no privacy, no security, no good UI/UE/UX, only "agents" that bring dollars to LLM providers.

I have so much love for several people on this list. @jack, fiatjaf, and @alexgleasonator. They are my people. 🫂💜🤙🏻
Yet another “List of Tech Deplorables to Attack” webpage has gone up. (This one as part of a “Stop Omarchy!” tantrum.) And, as usual, I highly recommend following a large number of the people on this list. Even if you don’t agree with something they say, they’re all interesting Tech / Open Source people. Shoot. It’s a gosh darned honor to be in the same list as some of these guys. stopomarchy.neocities.org/

I don't actually believe that anyone but a tiny fringe want what this has turned into. There's so much preference falsification going around in Linux right now. And that's perfectly understandable when the penalty of heresy was excommunication. But we're done with that now.

Oh noes!! The clowns have made a little website that rants left and right about the evils of "fashware" and capitalism and all the many (MANY!) people you have to boycot. And lots of non-Omarchy ones thrown in for good measure 🤣 stopomarchy.neocities.org/
