We need to make our spaces beautiful again. There's something intangible about walking through a wonderfully designed and constructed world that makes us better as a people. Think about it. Those who came before us understood this. Even without the technology we had, they took the effort and time to build the world with beauty and impeccable attention to detail. The greatest visionaries of our time turned the heavens in their minds into cathedrals, buildings, pavements, walkways, art that we still venerate and admire to this day. This is why minimalism as a movement will never last the test of time. We need to be maximalist maxxing. Pouring an obsessive amount of detail into things most people would ignore, yet notice. You don't have to be a particularly 'artistic' person either. Just start with curating your world. Your microenvironment. The things you see. Touch. Smell. Devote time to exploring the great works that have come before us. Admire the details. Get inspired by these ideas and see what sticks. Develop your own taste. Curate your world. Every little thing is an opportunity for unlimited artistic expression.
