Mikel Arteta playing an influential role in the decision.

🚨 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋: Manchester City have confirmed they lodged an appeal against the Premier League Commission’s verdict on 1 October 2026.
The club insists the decision contains “material errors” in law, principle and fact, and maintains it is innocent of the Premier League’s accusations.
City say they have “irrefutable evidence” supporting their case and will not comment further until proceedings are complete.
