Dude acting like this hasn’t been done before 😂
There are literally hundreds of these Islamic “neobanks” and they all operate the same way, a gay interface built on top of the same fiat monetary substrate, inheriting all of its architecture, incentives, and constraints.
i met a founder building a neobank specifically for the Muslim community:
> a card that blocks spending on alcohol, gambling, and other non-halal categories
> yield generated by sharia compliant investments
> cashback that is automatically donated toward zakat (charity)
> mortgages structured without traditional interest
one of the coolest examples of niche selection i’ve seen in fintech.
there are 2B+ Muslims globally, and faith directly influences how they save, spend, invest, and borrow.
if you can build a financial product around those values, brand it well, and offer a genuinely better banking experience, there’s a very compelling reason to switch from a legacy bank.
