Language isn’t the barrier. The real barrier is trusting yourself to make the right choice…
Users hesitate because they worry about the cost of reversing a decision, the pain of going through the process if they change their mind, and all the unknowns that come with making the wrong move…
That uncertainty keeps people away far more than language ever will…
The sooner we innovate the product construct around confidence, reversibility, and control, the sooner we unlock the next set of users… The product shouldn’t just help people understand what to do..it should make them feel safe enough to act…
I think we all dream of a day when Indians can walk into bank branches or insurance offices or any financial services office and confidently speak in the language of their choice.
The potential for Voice AI for me is to serve the common Indian who has for years perhaps been anxious about asking questions, for the fear of not being able to communicate except in the language he or she knows.
TAM being 50k cr or 10k cr is irrelevant in my opinion. What we should be really focusing on is the way institutions should think about utilising the technology to truly serve more customers better. And that means giving local branches the ability to share feedback about their observations. Figuring solutions that are bespoke for each region. Doing the things that dont need to be top down. I hope this is the chase.
And to all the folks using voice AI for spam calls, do better guys. 😬
