they made a song so catchy, we should make ai responsible for all the nukes on earth
Made with Claude Opus 5.5. The fearmongering about AI always makes us forget that NOTHING WENT FOOM, as was always predicted. Send this to your doomer friend who has a very high P(Doom). Accelerate.

RuneIcons.com really pulled these numbers in just one week. 12.5K+ visitors 24.5K+ page views 500+ GitHub stars 2.2M+ edge requests I genuinely didn’t expect this kind of response when I launched it. But I just crossed Vercel’s free bandwidth limit and could really use some help keeping the site running. @vercel @sonofalli @rauchg Would love to figure out a way to keep RuneIcons running on Vercel. Really grateful for everyone supporting RuneIcons. Still just getting started.

okay this looks cool .
Motion 13.4 introduces <AnimateView /> A lightweight view transitions component built on React's new ViewTransition API. Adds spring support, dynamic targets, animation controls, and a simple props API - no more wrangling pseudo selectors!

Funny story reguarding this . do you know why serverless works ? because amazon realised that since they cover a significant portion of traffic across the internet, any percent of users are moving from an aws served client to another aws server client. they know that charging for 2 separate server-stacks to keep them on is significantly more costly than over the air swapping code on a single server. Saves electricity, bandwidth, money and works well for everybody. there are genuinely novel stories similar to this , wins you only get when you reach a certain level of scale. this is a real term, performance at scale.
genuine question AWS took Postgres and called it RDS took Linux and called it EC2 took Redis and called it ElastiCache took Kafka and called it MSK took Kubernetes and called it EKS $100 billion a year for the rename am I missing something

the way i think about ai is . you now have a jetpack tied to your back , that much is clear , but the truth is , unless you don't know how to fly, you will crash the jetpack. i don't think people realize that research from both openai and anthropic both agree on this phenomena. if you are listening , you have a massive headstart , start using ai asap.
If AI writes the code, what should programmers spend their time on?

I never did leetcode , because i always knew it was irrelevant.

true , it has an incredible ability to not give a shit of your explicit prompt sometimes . some of my personal favourites. 1. never using patterns and libraries you ask for. 2. never catching intent in copy writing. sometimes even repeating a mistake . 3. never using tailwind and reaching for raw css. never using drizzle for orms , instead reaching for raw sql . stuff like that .
Anyone else notices this problem with Astra? Astra: I have done X Me: This is wrong, you should do Y instead Astra: You're right. I should do Y Me: ... Why doesn't it just go and do Y, like the other models??

someone might say , postgress is just more vibey than rest of these.
never met a vibe coder using MySQL never met a vibe coder using MongoDB never met a vibe coder using SQLite never met a vibe coder using Oracle never met a vibe coder using DynamoDB never met a vibe coder using Cassandra starting to suspect vibe coding is just Postgres + AI
