Since I’ve added some more number of followers…… Let me reintroduce myself properly I’m David Uchenna (friends call me Dave). I’m a software/embedded systems engineer. Basically I bully computers into doing stuff, building websites, mobile apps, backend systems, and messing with embedded stuff sometimes. Right now I’m the Lead Engineer at @flinckapp. It’s an agricultural social marketplace that connects farmers and people in the ag space. We launched on the Play Store, hit over 200+ users in the first 3 months. My job is building and scaling the product so it actually helps real farmers and ag folks connect and do business. Outside of Flinck, I stay busy with side projects and client work. Recently I built a lead generation tool that saves freelancers hours, you just type a niche (like “dentists in Lagos”) and it searches the web, pulls public emails & phone numbers, then spits everything out as a clean CSV or even ready for WhatsApp. I also built a full website for my aunt’s fashion brand and I’ve worked on projects for other clients & companies, but they’re NDA. I’ve done hackathons too (won 3, made top 10 globally in one recently) and I’m currently in a remote lead backend engineer role. I love building in public. You’ll see me posting about what I’m coding, the tools & frameworks I’m trying (yes I have opinions), wins, fails, and random dev life stuff. I’m just a young engineer grinding, shipping products, and sharing the journey. I’m open to collabs, opportunities, feedback, or just chatting about code and ideas. DMs are always open ya!

In Nigeria, staying focused on long-term foundations can be tough, but few things are more rewarding. Our people deserve that investment. What this developer is building with the new postcode system shows what Nigerians can do when those foundations are in place. This government is committed to laying many more. To our builders: the postcode is yours to build on. What will you create?
moniepoint and opay had to send someone to my house just to confirm i live there. nigeria just launched @Postcode_ng + a raw nipost api
so i built the Veriadd, thing banks/fintech should have called instead of a field agent 🧵……

then nipost launched the national digital postcode system, with a raw api underneath it. for the first time, an address in nigeria can be a lookup instead of a visit. so i built veriadd. send a postcode. get back a graded address, cross-checked against BVN, phone and NIN records. one api call, with an audit trail. ~200ms median. ₦30–₦50 per check. pay per verification. no field agents. no waiting.

moniepoint and opay didn’t verify my address. they sent a person. to my house. to confirm i live where i said i live the agent they sent somehow, always got lost an i had to give one of ‘em transportation fair because he spent more than his budget that’s still how address verification works for a lot of fintechs. pay an agent, wait days, all for one yes/no. the agent’s whole job is checking a door.

A lot of the software businesses depend on is open source, and keeping it useful takes real work: fixing bugs, writing documentation, reviewing contributions and maintaining releases. FLOSSAfrica gives people and companies a way to fund African builders doing that work.
Wait what's this platform about It pays u for building for fun or.. ?
