SMB file sharing for the PDP-11!
One thing that sucks with old systems like the PDP-11 is exchanging data. I've got a DELQA network adapter, so the PDP is on the LAN, but you're pretty much stuck using FTP to get data in and out of the machine.
Or that was true until this morning, when I completed my implementation of SMB (Samba) for the PDP-11 under 211BSD!
Share a folder from the PDP; then browse to it in Finder on Mac or File Explorer on Windows. Or use the command line.
Or let VSCode vibe-code right in the PDP file system, whatever floats your boat!
Between ksh and smb this week, I'm slowly taking some of the pain out of retro computing, at least on BSD!

Any compositor who looks at this and says I won't use a tool like this because it's AI is just stupid and self-sabatoging. There is nothing precious about green screen removal. There is nothing artistic about rotoscoping. It's painful, costly, time consuming grunt work that almost nobody enjoys. And if you happen to be someone that does, do it in your own free time. No employer wants to pay for your me roto time.

I've had an SE/30 for a really long time and I've never seen a Linux kernel boot on it.
This is Linux 7.2.8
Claude made it really easy and optimized a kernel for maximum performance using MAME as a build / test "machine"
It eventually created a bootable SD card that I dropped into my SCSI2SD and was up running
