Single issue voter, protect democracy. Taiwanese-American not Chinese.

Philippines take notes, this is how you get rid of Chinese intrusions.
Taiwan’s Coast Guard Administration (CGA) used a water cannon to drive off the Chinese fishing boat "Jin Sha" after it refused repeated orders to leave restricted waters near Taiwan-held Dongsha Island on Thursday.

More GPU smuggling busts that contradict Jensen Huang’s statement of “there’s no evidence of any AI diversion.”
California Man Arrested for Smuggling More Than $300 Million in Export-Controlled Computer Servers to China “SI is the defining technology of the era,” said Assistant Attorney General John A. Eisenberg. “The National Security Division will protect the American advantage in the chips that power this technology, a product of our unparalleled innovation and hard work, from illegal diversion by our economic and military adversaries.” 🔗: justice.gov/opa/pr/californi…

The UK had had enough and decided to clean house. Germany, it’s your turn.
BBC: More than 100 academics linked to British institutions have unwittingly assisted China's espionage operations against the UK via a front company working for its intelligence and security services, MI5 has warned. Source in first comment below.

The frenemies love affair between Trump and Xi is likely the best outcome for both sides and the world. Trump hasn’t ceded Taiwan, changed export controls on GPUs, or allowed Chinese investment in the US.
I genuinely hope that the meeting between Trump and Xi concludes in a manner similar to this picture later this month. Neither side emerges with any tangible gains and the sole agreement between them is to engage in a public spectacle of talking to trees.

NYT listed reasons for Chinese business leaders attending the state dinner but omitted China’s exit ban on September 15. We’d all wonder why and how they got approval for that exit ban, even if they attend the state dinner.

I doubt that the United States and Australia are the only governments that have been hacked by AI at this point.

There is an overdose of pomp and pageantry between Trump and Xi with very little substance, China hawks are still very much alive in the WH that’s preventing Trump giving away everything.

Setting aside the severe sentence for Zhang Youxia, it’s peculiar that Beijing chose to release this update two days before Xi Jinping’s arrival in the US. Given their notorious reputation for manipulating the optics surrounding Xi’s visit, this decision seems rather odd. 🤨

I’m not sure what’s happening inside China AI, but whatever position they take regarding two major rumors—Huawei founder and family leaving China or a dozen Kimi executives missing—doesn’t seem confident in AI.

If it weren’t for @TheAtlantic and other China shills (like J. Kavanagh) out in force in recent weeks, I would have almost forgotten about Xi Jinping’s visit.

I want to give a special shoutout to PLA and 🇨🇳 SOE for loading critical surveillance data into Claude, believing it was using Kimi. 😂 (Kimi rerouting prompts to Claude)

Chinese AI is so ahead they’re rerouting customers prompts to Claude. 🤭
We're publishing our most detailed threat intelligence report to date. It covers how people tried to misuse Claude—for cyberattacks, influence operations, surveillance, biology, and building weapons—and how we found and stopped them. We disrupted every operation in the report, and used the lessons from them to strengthen our safeguards. Where appropriate, we also shared what we found with authorities and other AI companies. These cases are not typical: we’re highlighting some of the most sophisticated misuse we’ve seen. But they’re especially important to discuss, because they show us where AI misuse is headed, where our safeguards work, and where they need to improve. We’re publishing this report so others can spot the same activity on their own platforms, and so we can give the public a clearer view of how emerging threats develop. Here’s a good example of a Western journalist making up bullshit about Taiwan. 🤥 There’s no such thing as “Taiwanese nationalist” in Taiwan. The KMT doesn’t recognize themselves as “Taiwanese nationalists” but rather “Chinese nationalists.”
Replying to @kuokuomich
Last, an amazing error: this article refers to the KMT as “the Taiwanese Nationalists.” At one point the KMT had Taiwanese nationalists rounded up and shot. I am amused to hear the KMT called what they view as an epithet. I hope @TheAtlantic doesn’t fix this error bc it’s funny.

Europe is gradually being colonized by China, one port at a time. It’s not an accident that Chinese spies are frequently caught at ports, taking pictures, collecting data, and throwing a fit when they’re denied the opportunity to purchase port. Free advice, rip and replace those Chinese cranes like what we’re doing here in the US.
