💪Omarchy Mac Users
Are you willing to walk on the bleeding edge of kernel development?
Is your Macintosh already running Omarchy?
Is your Macintosh fully backed up in case something goes wrong? Full disclaimer there is a CHANCE you can break your install, its not likely, but it can happen.
If you answered *yes* and you feel like getting down on some kernel development- keep reading
curl -fsSL
github.com/iconidentify/auro… | bash -s -- --agent-prompt
If you run this command on your M1 or M2 running Omarchy for Macs, it *should* install a TEST kernel that has several notable changes, including Thunderbolt support, SEP (TouchId Support) as well as AVD improvements (that you, the community contributed 113 pull requests to make happen)
I want to stress that you need to be adventurous to run this! Have an agent run the command and shepherd you through the process! Once installed you can use your TouchID and enroll your fingerprint/verify etc. The bash script gives you a prompt for your agent.
Try plugging your machine into a thunderbolt dock if you have one, make sure usb comes back from sleep, display etc. if it doesn't, just have an agent report findings, fixes or anything upstream to the custom kernel branch.
NOTE: This work is going to flow upstream to the Aurora Linux project, I am coordinating testing and improvements and will shepherd all changes to their project via a pull request, preserving your agents commit hash / etc.
teamwork makes the dream work
