ARE WRITERS STILL VALUED HERE?
I want you to ask yourself this. What's the percentage of people that actually read through your writings these days?
When you make a long form tweet or a thread, can you be certain that everyone who commented on it actually read through it all?
We're used to the popular comments like thanks for sharing, gud tek, etc. But did they really read through it? Do they really understand what you wrote about or they're just being supportive mutuals and adding to their reply count?
Some folks still give AI replies these days. Why? Because they don't want to read :(
These are the concerns i have that make me wonder if writing is still valued in todays world.
At the moment it looks like Video Creators (with or without AI) have the attention spotlight on them, and while that's a good thing in itself, it tells us something deeper.
"Most people love Visuals more than Reading"
Most would rather want to see it and watch it than read it.
And it raises another important question;
what befalls the average writer?
At the moment, only well established or renowned writers still get some level of attention because of what they've built over the years.
Take them aside and you'll realise that not many writers gain your attention.
Educational tweets are looked down on, because it looks long, therefore it doesn't get much attention.
Only Shitposts, giveaways or Banter seems get the attention of everyone.
I don't want to keep boring you with my thoughts so I'll end it with a question for you to answer;
IS THERE STILL HOPE FOR WRITERS OR HAS IT BECOME A DEAD ART?
