Listen Labs is joining @Salesforce! A year and a half ago we launched Listen, an AI platform for understanding customers, and it’s been a crazy ride ever since. Today, we work with some of the largest companies in the world, including Microsoft, Anthropic, and Sweetgreen. What started as an AI interviewer is now a full platform for understanding customers. Listen finds the right people, interviews them, analyzes what they say, and even simulates how they'll behave. Listen’s growth quickly accelerated and while we were raising our next round, we met @Benioff. Marc is a hero of mine. I've taken countless ideas from Behind the Cloud and watched him framemog every AI CEO on the planet. We're honored to get framemogged next. With Salesforce, we can bring Listen to every company in the world, much faster. To our customers, our mission remains the same.I stay CEO, @Florian stays CTO and the same team will keep building the product you rely on, now inside Salesforce AI Labs. Thank you for believing in us early. To our team, families, and everyone who believed in us before there was much to believe in, thank you. These years have been the most fun years of my life, and it’s still only just the beginning for Listen. Now back to work. 🚀

Hardware is getting its Cursor moment.
Flow has raised a $50M Series B at a $750M valuation, co-led by Antonio Gracias (Valor) and Gavin Baker (Atreides) with Sequoia Capital, Roelof Botha (SpaceX, Block), and more. When I became a mechanical engineer, I wanted to invent. In reality, 90% of the day to day execution work (CAD, excel, sim) was digital manual labour. That’s about to flip. The engineer’s role will change more profoundly than at any point since the invention of CAD, with humans focusing on invention, architecture, tradeoffs and judgement calls, and agents taking the grunt work. Anduril, Joby, Stoke Space, Rivian & many more - Flow is now the default platform for requirements and verification for frontier hardware teams. But it’s not just next-gen anymore. Industry giants including General Motors PPU and Volkswagen & Rivian’s joint venture (RV Tech) are reshaping their core development practices with Flow’s AI. The revolution is just starting. Models are getting better quickly at CAD, analysis, simulation, and tool use. In the next year, AI will move from integrating the work to doing the work. One day, this shift won't just enable us to iterate faster, it will enable us to design a class of products that we could not have dreamt of before. We’re hiring.

Sweden’s best founders should leave Sweden. At least for a week. We started Velocity Fellows so 10 young Swedes can spend a week in SF on us. In 2023, we took Max from Legora to meet Arvid at Cursor. Cursor had 10 people. Legora had 2. Apply to get a picture like this!

I always assumed a blue check meant someone actually looked at your ID. Apparently it just means your card went through.
Fyi this account is one of the better phishing attempts I've seen on this site. Stay safe out there folks

There's a domain I've chased for years. Hired domain hunters. Tried ChatGPT. Tried Claude. Nothing. Sent it to Grok Bot: it read the code and auth flow, triaged 50 sites, found the owner in seconds. Owner turns out to be a billionaire. Wish me luck.

I honestly don’t think frequency of sending investor updates matters much for the success of any company

founders: only send investor updates when you're winning. Listen has sent 3 in its history. All fundraise announcements. Nobody reads a bad update and helps. They just mark you as dying.

It gets worse. Send an update to 10+ people and it's basically public. Investors love to gossip with other investors.

Micky closed $1M ARR for us before he invested. He is relentless.
.@mickymalka is the founder of @RibbitCapital — the firm behind Revolut, Robinhood, Nubank, Coinbase, and more. He bought his first share of Berkshire Hathaway when he was 13, in Venezuela, with money he borrowed from his grandfather. His grandfather charged him interest. He started his first company at 17. In his mid-20s, he put every dollar he had into launching a bank in Brazil for the 50 million Brazilians nobody else would serve. Micky is a quiet killer. Respected by the elite of the elite. When I asked @patrick_oshag how he’d describe Micky to someone who didn’t know him, he said: “He’s a mfing moneymaker.” Micky hates labels. I've replaced Superhuman with Scape. It saves me hours every day.
We’ve raised $3.2M and spent 18 months building Scape. Scape is the first email inbox that works for you:

If I were invading a country, Sarah is my first pick for general.
In 2018, Sarah Guo became the youngest general partner in Greylock's 60-year history. She was 28. Four years later, she quit to launch Conviction, a firm staked entirely on AI. Before ChatGPT shipped, she seeded Baseten and Harvey; each is now worth over $11 billion. In Conviction's first year, she wrote early checks into Sierra, Cognition, and Mistral; those three companies are now worth, together, $54 billion. Andrej Karpathy worked out of Conviction's office until Anthropic hired him in May. Guo has been close to Jensen Huang for over a decade. Her first two calls after starting the firm were to Sam Altman and Nat Friedman. And yet the investor closest to the AI frontier is betting against its biggest companies. The two big frontier labs, worth close to a trillion dollars apiece, no longer just want to build the models. They also want to build every product and company on top of them, leaving nothing for anyone else. The market is paying as though they might succeed. Of the $300 billion in venture capital deployed in the first quarter of 2026, the biggest quarter in the history of the trade, 65% went to only four companies: Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, and Waymo. Guo is betting the labs can't build everything, and she spends her days making sure of it. She won Harvey its first client. She flew across the country to take a single Baseten candidate to a four-hour lunch. On one wedding anniversary, she spent the whole weekend on back-to-back calls, keeping two founders on the line so they couldn't speak to rival firms. Twice a year, she flies the world's brightest young founders to San Francisco and inducts them into the fight. In the months @domcooke spent reporting this piece, @saranormous had her fourth child, walked the Met Gala in 45 pounds of chainmail, and still answered her founders' texts within minutes. Guo's parents arrived from China in 1987 with $50, built a company, and took it public at $1.2 billion. Then it went bankrupt. Guo grew up inside that startup. She built its first website, did her homework in a cubicle, and slept over for bug bashes. She loved it. If two labs build everything, no one gets to do that again. Welcome to Sarah's Wager. Read it below.

"Failure is overdetermined. You think you failed for reason 1, but you failed for reasons 2 through 5. You learn more from doubling down on success than from studying failure." — Peter Thiel
100% agree with this. Never understood the failure fetish. Fail early and often? What? Fail often? Really? Fuck that. Do, learn, do, learn. Move forward.

Moving to 🇺🇸 five years ago was the best decision I ever made. Everyone in Europe told me it was a mistake. America was in decline. They forgot the tallest trees in the world grow here for a reason. Hope I can earn a citizenship one day 🙏

Our intern Veer was so proud when the agent got its first customer
Our intern just built the first zero-person company. Listen's agent ran a loop: - Interview users - Build - Test with real people - Fix issues - Repeat 2,000 interviews and 100 concepts later: an app with 100s of paying customers. Here’s how it works:

tbh, the product is really janky. The image model distorts your face and the UI is clearly designed by AI. But we’re excited to see *the start of* what’s possible when you combine compute with a constant feedback loop with real users. We’ll continue stress testing the boundaries of research and report back on what we learn. Read our methodology here: listenlabs.ai/blog/closed-lo…
