It is always a pleasure to meet Prof. Satish Tripathi, former President of @UBuffalo . It was wonderful to welcome him to @NITIAayog and catch up after a long time.
During my tenure as Director, @IITKanpur , we worked together to build joint research programmes between the two institutions. We also exchanged views on areas of mutual interest, including UB’s newly established Department of AI and Society, which I found particularly interesting.

Bringing together all stakeholders, whether supported by the Government or not, is central to a whole-of-government, whole-of-nation approach, said @NITIAayog Member (S&T) Prof @karandi65.
He noted the spectacular progress of #NQM over the last two years, creating momentum and growing interest among investors. Stronger collaboration, he said, can help India build greater capabilities and global competitiveness in frontier quantum technologies.

Mr. Swapnil Jain @swapniljain89 , Co-founder and CTO, @atherenergy , called on me at @NITIAayog .
We discussed Ather’s continued focus on deep-tech innovation in electric mobility. I was particularly encouraged by the company’s efforts to build greater supply-chain resilience alongside technological depth as it scales.

It was a pleasure to be part of PRAGATI Q Foundry 2026 at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi, organised by the National Quantum Mission (@IndiaDST). The event brought together startups, researchers, users, government agencies, State Governments and private investors from across India’s growing quantum landscape.

Going forward, our focus should be on building globally competitive strengths in quantum communication and sensing, while leveraging India’s strengths in software and algorithms to develop applications for quantum computing. Equally important will be building the talent and teaching infrastructure needed to sustain and scale this ecosystem.
