about to go to my cousin's wedding where there will be 800 people who don't use AI & am missing san francisco. it's nice being able to go to a random bar in sf & know that there's someone there who will be down to converse about the exact topics that most interest you. i take it for granted way too often

I need all of you to actually fucking burn.
THE CEOS OF CHATGPT AND CLAUDE JUST RELEASED THEIR FIRST JOINT PRODUCT 917K views in 2 days on top is the real APT video. underneath, the same clip redone frame for frame with the two biggest bosses in AI Altman takes Rosé's part and sings on his knees into the mic. Amodei, who left OpenAI in 2021 to start the rival lab, gets Bruno Mars on drums and keeps the face of a man running a safety review then they sit on the floor holding hands over a red cup, the most expensive play date in history. Altman wins the round and points at Amodei laughing, as if he just won back all the people who quit to build Claude. by the end he is shirtless and swinging his top in circles, while the other guy lies on one elbow and watches, looking like the author of a very long essay warning about exactly this why nobody can tell them apart: → every pose is copied 1:1, from Altman kneeling with the mic to each dance move → the camera repeats the fisheye shot from above, the old TV frame and the wide angles → the two keep their usual clothes, a dark sweater and a grey blazer with glasses, in place of leather jackets → shadows fall on the pink floor under both of them and the red cup → fast moves blur the way they do on real film, the head shake at the drums and the shirt spin it works on your boss and the coworker he can't stand too. @Picsart needs one portrait photo of each and a song everyone can sing along to Amodei still hasn't signed off on the release

Great to speak with @ThisWeekABC on why "tremendous self-regulation" for AI would be a tremendous mistake. Full segment: abcnews.com/video/136985860/
“The idea that just because we have new technological capabilities, there’s some blanket exemption from the laws on the books, is totally laughable.” Former FTC Chair Lina Khan explains the existing laws that could help regulate artificial intelligence companies.

This is INSANE. We’re now letting Meta, a company who has leaked our sensitive data and harmed our children, go off and claim BILLIONS in R&D tax breaks on its AI data centers while allegedly stealing all of our journalism and IP? What are we do doing here, America? nytimes.com/2026/09/30/techn…

Have yet to see an AI “game” that isn’t overt plagiarism
My "No Man's Sky" game built with 1 prompt went viral: 700k+ views and 7,000+ unique players. So I kept going and added a full galactic war. With 2 more prompts: → Ground battle against giant Behemoth walkers. Tie their legs together to bring them down → Fly straight off the surface into a space battle with Juggernaut ships and fighter squadrons → Escape the war and land on a new planet to explore No loading screens. All in the browser. Built with Opus 5.5 & @threejs on @TesanaAI Play it below 👇

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

The whole point of building Tavus has been simple: talking to a machine should feel as natural as talking to a friend or coworker. It’s hard to describe all the tiny nuances that make a conversation feel human. The little expressions. Moving around in your chair. Knowing when to speak and when to listen. The dance of it all. Griffin is by far the closest anyone has come to a model that can capture those nuances. The first time I saw it being used, I had no idea I was watching our model rather than just a normal video call. I’m so incredibly proud of this team and what they’ve built.
