The prisoner's dilemma in company building right now: a competitor slop-cannons their roadmap, ships dozens of products, and sells them before they actually work. How do you respond?

New model on the leaderboard! Pareto 26.9 is very interesting: the first "model" on our leaderboard that routes models behind the scenes based on the task at hand. What does this actually mean? It depends. Benchmarks like this are made up of many tasks of varying difficulty. When you blast them all with an expensive frontier model, the cost per task will be comparatively high. If you do a lot of varied, ambiguous tasks, it seems worth considering a model router. I think coding agents (as evidenced by @cognition fusion model) or personal agents should pay close attention to this. Next question: what happens if you route your model and search together? Stay tuned.
Two new models join our Search Capability Leaderboard today: - Pareto 26.9 from @TheUnbiasedCo is the first blended model we've ranked on this leaderboard, combining multiple models behind a single, task-routed endpoint - GPT-6.1 Sol from @OpenAI, an upgrade to the recently launched GPT-6 Sol

92 is halfway to 99. This applies to almost everything in life. Should really have an official name for this like the Jagex principle or something.

We observe this with GPT-6 Luna on Parallel’s Search Capability index. Most knowledge tasks can be achieved with a cheap model and high quality, equally cheap search. (Cost per 1,000 tasks) parallel.ai/leaderboard/gpt-…
Is open source AI losing its cost advantage? @steph_palazzolo explains why developers are using fewer open source models: "OpenAI, and also Anthropic to some extent, more recently have been so aggressive with cutting prices for some of their smaller or faster models that they actually have become cheaper than open source, which I think really goes against this narrative that open source is the cheapest type of model to use out there."

the rain had settled in, the afternoon had nowhere particular to be, naturally you set the @p0 web agent w/ opus 5.5 on the trail of a garden painted in 1874. off it went, through a catalogue raisonné or two, a few museum archives, and several increasingly excellent footnotes. whether lunch at le grand véfour was involved remains between it and the maître d’.
