My keynote at @yext Envision yesterday was a love letter to marketers, at a moment when everyone else is writing their obituary. A room full of the best marketers in the world, trading ideas on what actually works. Our core belief: agents will play a huge role in the future of marketing, but not as big a role as MARKETERS. Tools always commoditize. Great marketers never do. We took two big steps yesterday: * Scout is now a multiplayer agent harness: marketing teams, partners, and agents doing their best work together, from the same shared context. * And we're thrilled that @getflamel - @paul_ehlinger, @mattsichterman and team - will be joining Yext to build the future of paid local media with us. One of the best days we've had at Yext in a long time. And we're just getting started.

The act of writing isn't just about the output. It's also about the critical thinking and creativity that it unlocks.

looks like reddit is almost wiped from chatgpt sources the query fanout changes had a big impact and the past couple of days it seems to be almost completely removed from prompt responses promptwatch.com/data/reddit-…

Resiliency wins.
One of my office hours today was with a founder from 2011. Company's still going, doing pretty well. I asked him to give some advice to the next group, from the current batch. He said the biggest test is your own psychology. Can you keep going despite all the obstacles you face?

IMO the fun thing about startups - you can be right and still lose. If you can be both right and non-consensus - you can hit a home run. If you are right and consensus - then your upside is extremely limited. And if you're wrong - well, you lose.

The big lesson from AI is that everything is code. A slide deck is code. Design is code. That cool promo video? Code. Excel automation? Code. The universe? Probably made of code too.

For two decades, local discovery meant typing 'near me' into a search box. Now it's a conversation. When someone asks an AI who they should trust with their home or their health, franchise brands need to be part of that answer in every market they operate in - not just the ones with the savviest local owners. Thanks for the shoutout @streetfightmag streetfightmag.com/2026/07/1…

Read @AdamContosCEO's book 'Start With A Win' awhile ago and still like coming back to a few of the quotes I pulled out of it. "Without passion for your work your people, or your industry, you're neither doing your best nor living up to your full potential." Passion won't make you win - but it'll make you the best version of yourself possible.

Every marketing task in a multi-location brand lives somewhere in a cube - how it's done - who does it - who decides how it gets done AI is about to move almost all of them toward one corner - automated, centralized, controlled. Here's the map of what corporate absorbs, what stays local, and what gets fought over.

Be an interesting stat to track over time. Still in very early days of adoption + understanding of AI cost x ROI analysis.
So the top 1% of companies spending on ai are spending $7500 per employee, but the median enterprise spender is only spending $11 per employee - Apollo

I agree with this. The durable value in AI apps won’t come from “better prompting” or basic content generation - the labs will commoditize that. The moat is becoming the system of work: brand memory, approvals, workflows, channel logic, governance, and performance feedback loops that improve over time. I also think this becomes even more true as software gets more headless. As AI agents increasingly become the interface layer, users won’t care as much about which SaaS UI they’re inside - they’ll care about which platform actually owns the workflow, context, permissions, and execution layer underneath. In that world, the winners aren’t just “AI tools.” They’re the infrastructure that agents plug into to actually run marketing operations end-to-end.

Franchise marketing is about to look completely different. For years, multi-location marketers have been stuck choosing between two bad options: pay an agency that doesn't really scale with you, or have your in-house team manually rebuild every campaign across hundreds of locations. Either way, strategy gets sacrificed to operations. We're launching a suite of agentic marketing tools purpose-built for this problem. Over the next few months, you'll see the full rollout. First look below - our agents building and launching a multi-location Meta ad campaign end-to-end. 👇 #franchising #ai #agenticai

Thinking about the growth of an ‘empathy economy’ - what in the economy will survive AI because the ROI of automation doesn’t exceed the value creation of the human element.

I wonder the difference between explicitly ai products vs not. I’d guess Siri or Google Maps has more than a 26% positives view.
This lays at the feet of all AI CEOs. We need to do better.
