This is an obvious feature. But it's something that can only be standardized now due to the maturity of the underlying tech. In the early days, chains weren’t fast or cheap enough to reliably put an onchain transaction directly into a card authorization flow. So the standard approach was to move funds in advance to a separate collateral balance. A handful of teams built custom ways around it, but now it can become table stakes for all stablecoin card programs. Another small step in the wholesale rebuild of the entire financial system.
