Screen Studio 4.0:
We trained our own AI model to upscale macOS screen recordings.
We built a bot that generated 5,000 random, nonsensical SwiftUI apps that feel like macOS, took screenshots, downscaled them, and trained on those.
Standard upscaling vs. our model:

Looks cool, but is shortcut capturing fixed yet?
More than half of my shortcuts don't get captured, which is pretty frustrating for a paid app.

Screen Studio 4.0 is finally out! screen.studio/changelog
It took ~8 months. Way too long. I feel such relief now.
We built a brand-new, in-house rendering engine, trained our own AI models, and so much more.
Will be posting details and learnings soon!
I hope you'll like it!

About yesterday's cancellation email
Yesterday, some of you (24k people…) received an email saying your Screen Studio subscription had been canceled. We've seen the concern in your replies. Here's what actually happened and what we've done about it.
What happened
The cancellation was a human error on our payment provider's side. It wasn't an attack, and it wasn't connected to your account or activity.
What we've done
Our payment provider is restoring all affected subscriptions automatically, so you don't need to take any action. PayPal subscriptions will take longer to restore, but we'll make sure your access to Screen Studio won't be interrupted. Your access to the app was not interrupted at any point. All your work, recordings, and settings remained available the entire time.
Your data is safe
There was no breach. No account was accessed without authorization. No customer information was lost, exposed, or compromised.
If your subscription still shows as canceled, or anything seems wrong with your billing or app access, email us at team@screen.studio. We'll fix it directly.
I'm genuinely sorry for the confusion and stress this caused.

Update on the subscription cancellation emails:
We've already resolved this with our payments operator, Lemon Squeezy.
It turns out it happened by accident on their side due to a support agent mistake.
Their team is already handling it, and your subscription should be restored very soon.
Your access to the Screen Studio app should stay uninterrupted in the meantime.
We're sorry for the inconvenience and confusion. If you have any questions, we're happy to help.
