AI Engineering Day - 01: Attention
Spent today understanding how attention actually works in LLMs. The idea is simpler than the formula makes it look.
Take "The animal didn't cross the road because it was too tired."
To figure out what "it" means, the token "it" sends out a Query: what am I looking for?
Every other token holds a Key: here's what I contain.
The best matches get a high score, and the model blends their Values into a new representation of "it".
That's the whole trick. Softmax just turns the scores into weights that add up to 1.
I wrote my notes on this with diagrams, including self vs cross vs causal attention and multi-head. If you're learning this too, it might save you some time:

दिवसातले १२-१४ तास पोलिस उभे असतात. साधं पाणीसुद्धा पुरवले जात नाही. सगळ्यात तणावाची नोकरी.
त्यात हे असले शूज. काळ्या रंगाचे. चामड्याचे. हे शूज घालून १२-१४ तास मुंबईच्या गरमीत उभे राहायचे, किती अवघड आहे.
अनेक पोलिसांशी बोललो, पायाला फोड येतात. टाचा दुखतात. पोटऱ्या भरून येतात.
कॉन्स्टेबल बोलू शकत नाहीत. हे सगळ्यांना दिसते, अनेकदा विषय निघतो. पण निर्णय होत नाही ..
उत्तम स्पोर्ट शूज, आरामदायी आणि चांगले ventilation असलेले ही गरज आहे.
नाहीतर ही मंडळी साठी येईपर्यंत खरच सक्षम राहतील का ?

it is strange that a country of 1.5 billion people and 22 languages, with laws copied from the entire world, has only 275k docs. the epstein files has 3.5 million docs.

I am happy to release 275k public Indian gov documents parsed from 15k gov websites. 322k official PDFs and on 128 topics, available to plug and play into any RAG frameowrk of your choice. Both raw data and cleaned data available in csv, parquet and SQLite format. At least 50k pages are useful. :D
Will be updating this to 20 Million documents by month end (process running on JarvisLabs autonomously. Happy to share tracking link for those interested)

card numbers use an error detection algorithm (luhn checksum). with 8, the checksum was 43, invalid. replacing it with 2 brought it to 40, which is divisible by 10, valid.

@Uppolice के साइबर एक्सपर्ट टीम द्वारा गहनता से जांच करने पर वीडियो के फर्जी होने की बात सामने आई। डांसरों का वीडियो बना रहे पब्लिक में से किसी के भी मोबाइल के स्क्रीन पर डांसरों के पीछे किसी भी पुलिसकर्मी का होना दिखाई नहीं पड़ा।
अब यूपी पुलिस ने इस संबंध में मुकदमा पंजीकृत किया है। जल्द है इस वीडियो को प्रसारित करके पुलिस की छवि धूमिल करने वालों पर कानूनी शिंकजा कसा जाएगा।
