I FOUND AN OFFICIAL ANTHROPIC REPO WITH 2 STARS THAT LETS YOU VERIFY ANTHROPIC ITSELF
A cryptographic tripwire for catching the model provider if its audit history changes
The repo is called axt-verify
Anthropic’s Access Transparency system records events where its personnel access or preserve an organization’s data. Normally, you would still have to trust the company serving those records
This tool moves the verification onto your own machine
Every run: → verifies that the transparency log was signed by the key shipped with the tool → proves the log only grew since your previous checkpoint → rebuilds every access event byte for byte → checks that each event actually exists inside the signed log → fails if an event was rewritten, backdated, moved, or served from a rolled-back or forked history
You can put it in cron, save your own checkpoints and keep an independent record of what Anthropic told you yesterday
If tomorrow’s history does not extend yesterday’s history, the command fails and preserves the evidence
The interesting part is what Anthropic admits it cannot prove
If an event is omitted from the feed entirely, an inclusion proof cannot detect it. A completely frozen feed paired with an old valid checkpoint also needs an external timestamp or comparison point to expose it
That limitation is written directly into the README
This is not useful to every Claude user yet. You need an organization enrolled in Access Transparency and a Compliance Access Key
But the architecture matters far beyond Anthropic:
the provider creates the audit trail the customer keeps the checkpoint cryptography decides whether the history changed
Everyone is building agents that ask for more permissions
Anthropic quietly published the tool that lets customers verify what happened behind those permissions without simply trusting Anthropic’s dashboard
One commit. Two stars when I found it. Almost nobody talking about it
This is genny and never done
