Boeing 737 Max-planet från Flydubai dök i 39 graders vinkel under kapningsförsöket, rapporterar Wall Street Journal. Som jämförelse sker en normal nedstigning inför landning med omkring tre graders vinkel. Under dykningen nådde planet Mach 0,96 – mycket nära ljudhastigheten. På den aktuella höjden motsvarade det omkring 1 020 kilometer i timmen. En Boeing 737 Max flyger normalt i omkring Mach 0,82. På bara 92 sekunder förlorade planet omkring 5 300 meters höjd. Flygplanskroppen skakade våldsamt och utsattes för extrema aerodynamiska krafter. Delar av sidorodret slets loss från stjärtpartiet. När en av piloterna som tagit över kontrollen lyckades häva dykningen utsattes flygplanet för krafter på omkring 3 G. Det är högre än den belastning på 2,5 G som flygplansmodellen normalt är konstruerad för att klara under flygning. Trots den extrema dykningen, den mycket höga hastigheten och skadorna på flygplanet lyckades piloterna återta kontrollen och landa planet säkert.

This conversation is everything you need to understand why the benign-sounding ban on so-called conversion practices is actually a terrifying intrusion into family life.

The Anatomy of a Scandal In 2001, the Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association (HBIGDA), later to become WPATH, produced its Standards of Care 6 (SOC6). The document was heavily ideological and based on the flimsiest of evidence. Then, in 2009, the Endocrine Society produced a set of guidelines on how to treat gender distress. Many of the authors of these guidelines were WPATH members, and the recommendations were based on HBIGDA's shoddy SOC6. In 2012, WPATH produced its Standards of Care 7 (SOC7), based on Endocrine Society's 2009 guidelines and their own SOC6. There is still a complete absence of anything resembling real science. So we already have circular citations creating the illusion of consensus. But from 2012 onwards is when it gets really interesting. As you can see in the image, medical associations all over the world, infused with ideological zeal, produce guidelines recommending extreme medical interventions for confused youth and young adults, based on WPATH's SOC7, which in turn is based on nothing but WPATH's own citation laundering. Then, to top things off, WPATH then produced its outrageous Standards of Care 8 (SOC8) in 2022, and cited many of these international guidelines to bolster its pseudoscientific assertions. In essense, at the centre of this web of circular citations lies an empty shell, completely devoid of real evidence. This manufactured consensus has led to untold numbers of healthy young people being sterilised, robbed of their sexual function, and having healthy body parts chopped off. There has never in all of history been a medical scandal that rivals this one.

A new report makes a compelling case that the proposed Conversion Practices Bill would undermine legitimate clinical exploration and make it harder for children with complex psychological difficulties to access experienced care. Working with these children is demanding clinical work. It requires experienced clinicians. The exceptionalism in this area is striking. Clinicians routinely explore patients’ beliefs, how they developed and what they mean to them. Why should beliefs about gender be placed beyond exploration? It is already against professional ethics to impose your own beliefs or values on a patient. Exploring someone’s experience does not mean deciding in advance what conclusion they should reach. Whatever assurances the government gives, this unnecessary bill will further discourage experienced clinicians, who are hardly short of work, from taking on these cases. Once a man is in women’s sport, a woman has missed out on not just winning but competing at all. It’s a travesty that women have missed out on glory 1000s of times & it’s devastating that so many didn’t even get the opportunity to try because a man took her place at the start.

But it couldn’t be social contagion, folks. It’s just that young people, especially autistic, gay and mentally ill ones, are finally free to be their authentic selves. The sudden explosion of young women who want to cut off their healthy breasts and take testosterone? Well, it’s absolutely not the newest form of self-harm, to which troubled adolescent girls are provably prone, ok? It’s not a consequence of the commonplace fear of becoming an adult woman, with all that that entails. No, there’s nothing to worry about there. The possibility of regret? Naturally, we don’t let minors get tattoos or own guns or vote, because that would be ridiculous, but if they want irreversible surgeries and drug treatments, they must be given them, and everyone around them must immediately agree they are now the opposite sex. That’s called being kind. And the mounting numbers of detransitioners? They were never trans, obviously, and should be mercilessly attacked, especially if they now say they were vulnerable and in a friendship group, online or off, dominated by trans identities, where transitioning was presented as a way to resolve all their social and emotional difficulties. (I have the emails). No, there’s nothing whatsoever to see here. Keep justifying it, keep cheering it on, keep insisting that the doctors and drug companies making serious money out of it all are acting with the purest of motives. Answer every reasonable question with an accusation of hatred and bigotry. Dispel every qualm of conscience with an activist-approved talking point. Reassure yourself that everyone on your dinner party circuit agrees with you. And when, in years to come, we’re all looking back on graphs like this, be proud that you did your bit to monster whistleblowers, parrot unevidenced claims and create the climate of fear that allowed the worst medical scandal in a century to take place.

To make acknowledging the accurate definition of “woman” a criminal offense seems like a feature, not a bug, of transgender ideology.

This is a human rights abuse. It is modern "conversion therapy" - doctors persuading young unhappy patients to have their genitals removed, effectively sterilising them and removing sexual function under the false pretense that this can change their sex.
