Im in the very early research stage of looking at Steam deck /controller support for Code of The Savage. The game already has WASD movement, but it is still very mouse-driven - think Ultima 7 levels of mouse control for inventory, dialogue, interaction, UI, and general world interaction. For people who play this kind of game on controller or Steam Deck: What would you actually expect? Full controller support? Trackpad/mouse-style cursor? Radial menus? Something else? Touch screen? Genuinely interested in how you'd want a game like this to handle it.

Meet Gunni. He came west to study the Screaming Cliffs, discovered a strange desert cactus, and now blows a sacred horn each morning so Leysar will bring her light. Wishlist on Steam: codeofthesavage.com/wishlist… #CRPG #PixelArt #IndieGame

IMO one of the greatest movies of all time. And that soundtrack….
For Apocalypto, we cast primarily Indigenous people from Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, many of whom had little or no acting experience. To keep the film authentic, the entire movie was performed in the Yucatec Maya language.

Trees, grass and bushes in Code of The Savage react to the strength of the wind... Just a simple scene where the weather turns from gusty, to calm, to stormy.

Animals in Code of The Savage have their own unique behaviors. I don't want them to just be sprites with x HP, y DPS...

I keep tweaking the lighting system. I'm extremely happy with how far it's come... Indiedevs, don't compare your game to others, compare it to how it USED to be.

Kinda happy with CoTS new light system - You can tell what time of day it is, just by looking at the shadows. light spillage is no longer a thing and the game now has proper directional shadows (mostly). As well as shadows that lengthen and shorten during the day.... Coming along nicely...

The roads of Daneth are never entirely safe. This rogue encounter is one of the situations that can emerge from Code of The Savage's random encounter system while you explore. Wishlist on Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/6… #CRPG #RPG #IndieGame #PixelArt #OpenWorldRPG #Ultima #GameDev #IndieDev

I've been making the world of Code of The Savage feel more alive with random encounters. You might come across travellers, merchants, hunters, abandoned camps or factions already fighting. No event popups. Just things happening in the world as you explore. store.steampowered.com/app/6… #CRPG #RPG #PixelArt #IndieGame #OpenWorldRPG #IndieRPG

This is Richard, a character in Code of The Savage. He is played by @RichardGarriott, who was kind enough to appear in the game. With COTS heavily inspired by Ultima 6 and 7, it is awesome seeing him walking around in it. store.steampowered.com/app/6… #Ultima #RPG #CRPG #PixelArt
