The Russians continue to turn our infrastructure and everything that supports ordinary life into their targets. This morning in Kyiv, a “shahed” struck the Pivnichnyi Bridge. Overnight, residential buildings, railways, and energy infrastructure in many regions came under Russian attack. In Chornomorsk, a drone struck a vessel. Importantly, our warriors always find a way to justly respond to these attacks and take the war back to where it came from. Over the past 24 hours, our long-range capabilities effectively struck targets serving the aggressor’s war machine. Our sanctions reached the Samara region, as well as the positions of occupiers operating Iskander missile systems in the Bryansk region. There are new results in the Black Sea. I thank all the units involved for their precision and systematic work. Russia must stop its absurd escalation.

Last night, the Russians launched more than 100 attack drones at Ukraine, nearly 50 of them jet-powered. Our warriors neutralized most of them, but unfortunately, there were also hits. In Kyiv, “shaheds” struck the Pivdennyi Bridge several times. In the morning, a residential high-rise was hit. Tragically, one person was killed. My condolences to their family and loved ones. In Kherson, the Russians “defeated” a kindergarten; in Kharkiv, they attacked a grocery store, and an institute and critical infrastructure were damaged. Enemy strikes also hit apartment buildings in Kramatorsk and Sumy. The Dnipro, Odesa, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Poltava, and Rivne regions also came under attack. As of now, four people have been reported injured in the overnight Russian attack. Our services are working wherever they are needed. No matter how hard Moscow tries to fully localize the production of its drones and missiles, its ability to escalate remains critically dependent on foreign components. These are supply chains running from Europe, the United States, China, Japan, and many other countries. Most of these companies are well-known manufacturers, but their components still make their way to Russia. Every Russian drone can actually be stopped right at the production line. What is needed is the political will of these countries. If the Kremlin has chosen more strikes, sanctions must work and must be strengthened. Thank you to everyone who is helping.

Dashcam registered the moment when a Russian Geran-4 long-range strike drone impacted the Pivnichnyi Bridge in Kyiv on Saturday morning. In the last few days, the Russians carried out multiple strikes on two major bridges across the Dnieper river located in the Ukrainian capital. Although such attacks are unlikely to completely destroy the structures due to their concrete construction and insufficient Geran's payload, they can cause significant traffic disruptions and public life paralysis, adding to Russia's efforts in waging psychological war and terror campaign against Ukrainian population. On October 3, Ukrainian Minister of Recovery, Infrastructure and Transport, Mykola Kalashnyk, that the said work on reserve crossings has already started, and that construction of several embankment dams with pontoon crossings is due to begin next week. BBC also reported that Ukrainian lawmakers had discussed contingency plans to use ferries or temporary pontoon bridges if any of Kyiv’s bridges were destroyed.

Respectfully, can we talk about this? Bilbao, Spain, this evening. It’s relentless. Last year one of our leading climate scientists Prof @HayleyJFowler (video below) warned the UK at anytime could see enough rainfall that cars and homes are washed away, and the London tube network could be flooded and out of action for months. We need the @nebriefing and to be talking about this NOW @andyburnham @AngelaRayner @ShabanaMahmood @YvetteCooperMP @bphillipsonMP @piersmorgan @BethRigby @TomSwarbrick1 @vicderbyshire @jonsopel @maitlis @Emmabarnett @tombradby @WilfredFrost @CliveMyrieBBC @amolrajan @SophyRidgeSky @TVNaga01 @OborneTweets @JohnSimpsonNews @carolvorders @KamaliMelbourne @campbellclaret @RoryStewartUK @StanCollymore @GNev2 @skynews @itvnews @ITNProductions @adamboultonTABB @KayBurley @kayeadams @janem @mrharrycole @rachelburden @bbcnews @skynews @ShelaghFogarty @bbcnickrobinson @tomhfh @susannareid100 #climatecrisis

🥵🥵🥵 Several daily high temperature records were broken today, and Vista (San Diego County) managed to tie its all-time record with a high of 108. San Diego's high of 105 is the 6th all-time highest.

It's really getting harder to tolerate for those of us who are fully aware of our surroundings and know that it's not easy to be around for any length of time🫣😶‍🌫️😷

This is DoorDash Air. As a pilot, I can tell you that you wouldn’t build a plane and then ask if it can carry cargo. So we built @DoorDash Air from the ground up, designed around what 13 years of deliveries have taught us: what people order, how much it weighs, and how far it has to travel. Our drones are as silent as a passing car and early tests show that we’ve gotten flight delivery times in under ~5 mins on average, so you can get your @chipotletweets & @popeyes (our first partners) and local favorites right to you, fast. The first deliveries will be in NorCal. We proved autonomy works on the ground. Now see how it works in the sky.

At the grocery store today I saw a cashier open mouthed coughing on all the groceries and all the customers. No one seemed the least bit bothered by this (except me). Also saw a bakery dept employee coughing right on the cake she was decorating. What a plague-ridden farce. 🤦‍♂️

U.S. healthcare system rant. I spent the entire afternoon on 📞 “TeleHealth” just trying to get a prescription filled for Paxlovid (for shortening duration of Covid.). They first promised to, but failed to send in the script, then later sent it to a pharmacy that doesn’t carry the drug 😵‍💫🙄. Fixing this took 4 hours of back and forth calls. Had I gone to urgent care, I would have saved 2 hrs and walked out with a paper prescription. 😑 The “efficiencies” of tele healthcare are hardly bettering lives. It’s impersonal, riddled with errors, frustrating to patients, and the only benefit is saving insurance companies money.

This man is knowledgeable. I support him and his work. One detail needs changing… the children aren’t just sick, that’s the outcome from a “cold”. They are slowly being disabled. Chronic illness. Shorter lives. Lesser quality. Anyone not taking action is a murderer 💯
1. Sometimes I find it difficult to remain professional and measured on this platform. This is one of those occasions, as I watch politicians seemingly unable to grasp the fact that with Covid in a state of constant and unmitigated transmission, children will be sick more often..

Funny, I just finished a novel that had a random line about halfway through mentioning the protagonist had permanent laryngitis from “long-haul covid.” The book was not about covid but is apparently set in reality. Was blown away to see it.
