Perhaps the scariest thing about the French riots - apart from the burnings and assaults and media coverup - is the fact that the rioters are second and third-generation migrants. They haven’t just stepped off boats. This is them *after* integration!

Mass migration is an incredibly asymmetric gamble. If it goes well, you boost GDP by a few percentage points. If it goes poorly, you end up with a permanent foreign body, constant conflict between groups, massive resource transfers, and slow reshaping of society to manage it.
BREAKING: Young second and third-generation migrants continue attacking schools across France. A group of masked youth just stole a fire truck in Marseille, vandalized it and set it on fire

Muslim parents "demanded" a ban on pork at a school in a city in the Netherlands. The mayor of that place responded with wise words! "Muslims must understand that they must adapt to the Netherlands, their customs, their traditions, their way of life, because it was the country they chose to emigrate to. They must understand that they are the ones who must integrate and learn to live in the Netherlands. They must understand that they are the ones who must change their lifestyle, not the Dutch. You must understand that the Dutch are not racist or xenophobic. We accept many immigrants, from many countries with different cultures and religions, which are Islamic countries that do not accept non Islamic immigrants. Therefore, the Dutch are not willing to give up their identity and their culture. In conclusion, they must understand that in the Netherlands, with their Jewish Christian roots, Christmas trees, churches, and religious parties, the religion must remain in the Netherlands. For Muslims who disagree with the Dutch culture and religion and do not feel comfortable in the Netherlands, there are 57 beautiful Muslim countries around the world, most of them populated and ready to receive them with open arms, according to the sharia. If you leave your country to come to the Netherlands, and not to a Muslim country, it is because you have seen a better life in the Netherlands than where you come from. THIS IS THE WAY TO TREAT PEOPLE COMING IN THAT ARE THEIR TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRIES! IF YOU DONT LIKE IT? GO HOME!

How come no one demands Jordan return its land to Palestinians? How come no one calls Jordanians colonizers? Weird how it’s only “stolen Palestinian land” when it’s in Jewish hands and not Muslim ones.

I keep saying it because it cannot be repeated enough. The Palestine flag is the flag of the Islamo-leftist revolutionary movement and it does not give a solitary fuck about Palestinians or Palestine. It is anti-West, anti-capitalist and anti-civilisation, and if you are seeing it anywhere on the streets of Europe then you are looking at the enemy. We must treat it as such and apply whatever force is necessary to stomp it into the dirt.

A SpaceX intern made an error in a calculation that wasn't caught until it reached a test environment. The error would have been minor in production but in the test it damaged a component that took 3 weeks to rebuild. The intern expected to be fired. The culture at SpaceX is famously intense. 80 hour weeks. Public criticism in meetings. Engineers being told their work is insufficient to their face. The stories about Elon's directness in technical reviews are well documented. An intern who cost the company 3 weeks of test schedule had every reason to believe the conversation would end their internship. Elon called the intern into a meeting. The intern prepared for the worst. Elon asked one question: "what did the error teach you about the system?" The intern explained the failure mode. How the calculation was structured. Where the assumption broke. What they would check differently next time. Elon listened to the entire explanation, asked two follow up questions about the physics involved, then said "good. now you understand that system better than anyone who didn't break it." The intern was not fired. They were assigned to the team that rebuilt the component. The logic: nobody on earth understood that failure mode better than the person who caused it. Removing them would mean losing the only person with direct experiential knowledge of the flaw. The intern is now a full time engineer at SpaceX. The culture is brutal on incompetence and forgiving of errors that produce understanding. The distinction is not obvious from the outside. From the outside, SpaceX looks like a place that punishes everything. From the inside, it punishes the refusal to learn. The error was expensive. The learning was more expensive to lose. The harshest workplace in aerospace kept the intern who broke the component because the breaking was an education that no simulation could have provided.

I am often asked what my priority would be if I was the prime minister. 1. Build 5 large modern day prisons. 2. While the prisons are under construction I would recruit 10,000 police and place them through a detailed training program to make their jobs recognised professionals. 3. While the prisons are being built.Recruit prison officers and make and pay them into respected professionals. 4. I would find the money by cutting back on military expenditure. In fact I would offer soldiers to apply for police or prison officer jobs. 5. My understanding of asylum seekers is that if they are trying to leave an oppressed county where they are in danger, they are supposed to go to nearest safe county. The people arriving on the shores of the UK have passed through plenty of safe countries. I would ask the Royal Navy to stop them arriving. Comments please . No jokers thanks Lord Sugar

Those who praise Saudi Arabia for looking after the Israeli passengers as if it were some incredible virtue, can you please stop? Even if Satan were part of the international community, he would have acted the same way. I am sure that if the plane had been forced to land in Iran, Iran would have looked after the passengers too. So stop this cheap flattery of Saudi Arabia and of Islam. The real Islam was happening up there in the cockpit. What Saudi Arabia did on the ground was simply the normal thing expected from any country, and it was not a reflection of what Islam is.

This man is an MP. Sadly he is not alone; the degree of questioning of this terrorist attack is staggering. Every time you think we’ve reached peak bigotry it goes to the next level.
I am genuinely shocked as to the speed of this enquiry by the Israeli spokespeople!!! Normally it takes them months if not years. I think i smell a rat! bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqgm…

I am always keen to point out that I was accused of being right wing for not referring to a girl as a boy in my classroom and raising safeguarding concerns.
This is what the UK for government call "extreme right wing" terrorism. Let that fucking sink in.

I wanna ask something and I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm asking for personal reasons. Is there anyone that's taken an adult ADHD assessment and been told they don't have it? Everyone I know that's paid for it has been told they have it, it's like the doctor sold them ADHD

Councils should have staff who just go around and sort out minor problems they see. Bag of rubbish - collect it. Street sign a bit wonky - straighten it. Overgrown weeds - pull them. All those small jobs. They're the things that make a place better to live if they're resolved.

For those who don’t remember, the concept of hijacking commercial aircraft and killing passengers for political reasons was developed and implemented in the 1970’s by the PLO. The Palestinian Liberation Organization

It's worth emphasising that these aren't bad consequences of rejoining the EU. They are bad (growth-damaging) consequences of reopening the debate about whether we should join, whether we ultimately rejoin or not.
Two obviously dumb consequences of reopening the UK EU membership question: - Investment in the UK that depends for its value on the UK being outside the EU will be reduced - Countries won't bother wasting time & resources negotiating FTAs with us that'd becoming void in the EU

I have an elderly lady neighbour who has to ask for a non-Muslim taxi driver because she has mobility issues & needs help getting in & out of the taxi, but religion prevents these men from touching females. Who knew life could become this complicated?

The BBC has just released a BOMBSHELL interview with the CEO of energy provider EDF. Among other things, he called the UK's energy policy "ideologically driven", and that "we are probably walking into another significant energy crisis," just four years after the last one. 🧵

It's common knowledge that "almost all men are stronger than almost all women" but did you know that almost all men are more tolerant than almost all women? If you're a libertarian, a male communist will be more tolerant of your views than a female libertarian.

The past eight years must have made many of us wonder whether the UK any longer has the will & the culture to function successfully as an independent country. It feels like we are hurtling towards a crisis point, a moment of true decision. Which way will we choose to go?

Sorry? Are people under the impression water companies haven't sought to build any reservoirs since the early 1990s??
Replying to @andrew_lilico
Almost 100 drinking water reservoirs were built in the UK in the 35 years before privatisation in 1989. Only one, Carsington Water, has been built since and that was instigated before 1989. Not a proud record of achievement, just greed.
