Itβs no real mystery why this keeps happening. Most of lineup goes into βlet me try to hit a 7-run homerβ mode when facing elimination. First 2 innings, Turner, Harper & Stott all got themselves out chasing. Kerr was sharp. He also quickly saw he didnβt need to throw real strikes

Not sure what exactly is the "better" option. But, I'm also not sure how long the "protect Caitlin Clark" crowd will tolerate, and the W can justify a playoff format that only gives her 1 home game a year.
I think the change is inevitable.
Unpopular Opinion:
The WNBA should NOT change its playoff format. Best of 3-5-7 is perfect! If your favorite team can't win a series in 3 attempts, blame them, not the format. This is the closest we'll get to sudden death. You either lock-in or go home. π€·πΎββοΈ

I have no issue starting Nola. If he gets jammed up early, you could go to Wheeler.

He may not be the Nola of his youth and peak, but he's been solid & serviceable since July. He had 2 strong starts against the Braves last month.
He'll be fine and keep the Phillies in the game.
