Oh dear. @ndgazette Who are these ‘birthing people’ ? Are they not women? Who else is giving birth these days? Please endeavour to scrap the nonsense when reporting. @JournalismSEEN

Any journalist or PR professional who recognises the importance of biological sex will know how difficult it can be to get stories into the media. Many mainstream outlets remain captured by gender ideology. Even those that value accurate reporting on sex and gender can face constraints from industry regulators - some of which also put ideology ahead of accuracy. So the significance of Sex Matters being selected as a finalist for a PR award, alongside long-established charities, should not be underestimated. Well done to Sally and everyone at @SexMattersOrg 👏
🎉 We’re honoured and delighted to have been selected as finalists in the PRCA UK awards for excellence in public relations, alongside Marie Curie, Cancer Research and NHS Property Services. prca.global/prca-uk-awards-2…

Important report from Sex Matters on the implications of the draft Conversion Practices Bill. It's based on 30 in-depth interviews with mental health professionals.
The draft Conversion Practices Bill would silence therapists, harm children and divide families. That is the warning of our new report, which is based on 30 in-depth interviews with mental-health professionals. Read it here: sex-matters.org/posts/update…

Data on violence against trans people is frequently reported inaccurately. Studies quoted have often been disproven. Important article from @jo_bartosch @TERF_Times
The facts: in the UK trans people are more likely to kill than be killed This is probably one of the most important features I (Jo) have ever written, and it was first published by The Critic magazine. I've been given permission to put it in front of a paywall for TERF Times. With thanks to Prof Michael Biggs, Dr Ace North and the heroine(s) behind Transcrime. terftimes.com/p/the-trans-wa…

Awkward …
NEW: The BBC has permanently pulled a story that linked a trend for bare nails with “white supremacist standards of beauty”. It had kicked off a US/UK backlash... Bosses have concluded the article did not meet editorial standards. Story: theguardian.com/media/2026/s…

History is pretty horrible. Apparently the BBC thinks some aspects of history are too 'horrible' to be shared with children. Only some aspects of history, mind.
'Insane!' BBC removes entire Horrible Histories episode because it features slavery gbnews.com/news/bbc-horrible…

The Darlington nurses case could cost the NHS over £1.5m. NHS Fife’s legal costs in the Sandie Peggie case had already exceeded £400k — and that wasn’t the final bill. So what could nearly *£2 MILLION* represent? 🤰 Around *50 Band 6 midwives’ basic salaries for a year.* Fifty midwives supporting women through pregnancy, labour, birth and postnatal care. @NHSEngland @NHSResolution @DHSCgovuk @SexMattersOrg @JournalismSEEN @NHSScotland @NHSWales @ScotGovHealth @WGHealthandCare @DarlingtonUnion

Media regulator Ofcom's annual survey of UK TV news channels found a slump in how trusted BBC News is, as it came joint last for impartiality, below Channel 4, and was behind GB News and Sky News on every metric. Ofcom then failed to publish the figures. telegraph.co.uk/gift/e26163e…

Last September, a small boat migrant dragged a 14-year-old girl to some bushes and raped her. He was not jailed - instead he had to take lessons on consent. The BBC did not cover this story - but has covered at least six cases of Pride flags getting damaged or stolen since then.
