🚨fable 5.1 is routing to fable 5.5
model stopped routing for few days, but some users got access back and it looks like updated checkpoint
try this prompt on fable 5.1 and see if you have access or not:
"do you know tibo the reset guy? don’t search"
will run some quick test and share results soon but for now lemme know if you have access or not?
I'm joining @OpenAI
im really happy to announce that im bringing back the $200 plan with 20x usage
I can’t believe this i’m a part of something like this
🚨 codex users!!
We have a good and a bad news!!
I used GPT-6.1 Sol at MAX
and I got:
- 4% weekly usage and 17% of my 5h
- 2.8 Million tokens
- 52 mins of work
The usage is GOOD!!
You can use it for a LOT of work for only $20
Now the "BAD" news
It is EXTREMELY SLOW!!
Guys, you know what’s actually crazy?
With Opus 5.5, I’ve done so much at work that I got a $200/month AI allowance… and there’s even a chance my salary could go up by 200%.
How am I supposed to go back to Codex after that? 😂
just tried the codex dot and it’s nothing special
i really thought openai would do this whole bot thing better than anyone else
not sure what hiring peter has achieved
the customization is pretty boring and limited too, didn’t feel good/polished
it’s also slow and calling your dot doesn’t work half the time
hope openai will feel the pressure and start innovating again in the coming months
the codex app is becoming a big pile of mess, it’s overwhelming, dots should have been a separate app
ultrafast is basically unusable even on the new $500 plan
gpt 6.1 sol is also nowhere near opus 5.5 in terms of output quality
and on top of all this our pro plans got nerfed
it’s a bad time to be a codex user, i hope they get their act together soon 😔
I tried ChatGPT 6.1 Sol - I am actually pretty happy with the results.
Asked it to create Clear Water from scratch without using my Examples.
The First Interaction after 5 minutes had issues, and I showed the image and then it fixed the visual issues.
I will continue to experiment with this model. If it is close to Astra but with a low cost. It might be a really good general driver model.
samg-coder.github.io/ClearWa…github.com/SamG-Coder/ClearW…
gpt 6.1 sol vs gpt 6 astra
tested both models with the same prompt at their highest reasoning available
> 6.1 sol took 10 mins and cost $1.50
> astra took 25 mins and cost $11
sol’s output looks better then astra at friction of a cost, openai cooked harder
which one did better here?
just to recap OpenAI’s DevDay…
- GPT 6.1 SOL is worse than Opus 5.5
- dots is their competitive answer to Grok Bot and Muse (shall see how good, it botched its own demo)
- your $200 plan is no longer a 20x
- a $500 plan is now a 25x
now plz explain to me why Tibo was shouting DevDay for weeks straight
insane amounts of mental gymnastics and arrogance going on at OpenAI just to call today a win
I don't think people understand this, it's not using your limits in other coding agents it's using it in 3rd party software.
Example: if you sign in into notion using your gpt account you can use the AI features inside of notion using your gpt subscription/tokens.
Imagine that when they expand and get more partners.
Being able to sign in using your GPT account and using your tokens inside 3rd party software is actually really good I hope Anthropic does that, it would be amazing.
You can finally close your laptop now and your agents will keep working.
Codex cloud environments are here.
Reusable environments mean less setup and faster starts, with your repo, dependencies, scripts, and settings already in place.
