introducing tau τ — an educational agent harness that teaches you how to build agent harnesses i will be publishing tutorials and demos on how to use it to create your own TUIs, harnesses, extensions, etc. Happy Tau Day!! 🤓 👉 twotimespi.dev/

openai did great work with the image-gen and editing tool on the codex app. this is the tool i used to create the visual for this thumbnail. it gets closer to a more natural creation process.

OpenAI launched dots. Here's how to build your own dots-style assistants with: > Pi as the harness > Custom gateway to connect to Telegram > Your choice of models (local, open, etc). > Google Workspace skills Run them on a VPS, Desktop, DGX, etc. Have fun!!

it's impressive how much more useful models become if you don't pretend to know the best way to do things. e.g. "refactor this huge class to use dependency injection" is MUCH worse than: "would it make sense to refactor this class to use dependency injection? what are the tradeoffs?" true about life too btw

You don't need Jev for good emoji search... just a tiny local model! Love this demo by @maxleiter, powered by a 33M-parameter embedding model running entirely in your browser (for free) with 🤗 Transformers.js!

getting acquired by @nvidia = hugging face can now hire people we couldn't as a small startup and give them a decade to make open-source AI win! if you're one of them, my dms are open

not sure that engineering automation can generalize to scientific research. in engineering things either break or they work. in mathematics, you can build castles on top of fake assumptions…
It's interesting to think about how much, if at all, the positive sentiments expressed here are appropriate to mathematicians. His main reason for optimism comes at the end: that now that "chiselling code by hand" is no longer necessary, "we can build amazing things". 1/3

"we had a wonderful run chiseling that code by hand and it’s over. On the other side of that is an exciting new career as professional maker of things, steering intelligence that was only available in science fiction up until a moment ago What a privilege to have been there when we did it all by hand and be there at the exact moment where we switch over."
My god this is such a good speech that every SWE needs to hear. You know what? Every person should hear it Keep the happy memories, eyes on the reality, be excited about the future. That’s the best that anyone can do

THIS. The main reason i don’t use anthropic’s models often is that i can’t use the plan with my harness.
Anthropic's strategy to win back the community: ✅ Support AGENTS.md ✅ Reduce Opus price 40% ✅ Make Opus 5.5 the best agentic coding + writing model ✅ Gave us a banked reset (with no window reset) ❓ Let us use the subscription in any harness? 🤞

Tau 0.4.3 adds cross-project session resuming. Open /resume, choose the project, then pick a saved conversation. Useful when you switch between repositories: check the full project path before continuing, so you know which work you are picking up.
