A few of you asked what mods are, here's a quick walkthrough! They’re really just plugins with a few special functions that let your code run inside Claude Code, like middleware. (don't worry, you can just ask Claude to write them for you 😛)

We'll be spending a lot more time trying to understand the outputs of language models. A few thoughts, tips & tricks: Writing. Something I've had success with: Ask your LLM to explain something in ASD-STE100, it's a controlled language specification originally developed for aerospace maintenance documentation. LLMs well-versed in this language and it comes with heavy constraints on clean writing style that I often find a lot more readable. Sometimes I've tried to soften it a bit e.g. ask for "80% of the way to ASD-STE100" because the spec is quite stringent. But even better: Diagrams / images. Instead of writing, ask your LLM to create a diagram. These can be a lot easier to process, parse, and understand. But even better: Web pages. Ask for output "in HTML" to get a beautiful, interactive webpage. LLMs are getting really good at frontend and can create beautiful experiences, animations, etc. But even better: Explainer videos. The output format I am most bullish on is fully custom / bespoke explainer videos generated on any arbitrary topic. Experiment with things like "Create a 3b1b style video explainer on X. Use my ElevenLabs API key for audio narration". (you'd need an API key for the latter or you can ask your LLM to find you decent free alternatives that use your local compute). This is actually starting to work! In summary: - As LLMs get better, they will do more and more of the legwork autonomously, and a lot more of our work will rise up the abstractions into oversight and understanding. - Luckily, LLMs can help here too because as intelligence and code are increasingly abundant, you can ask for large, custom, discardable software artifacts (e.g. web apps, video explainers) that would have never made sense to create before. Push the boundaries here and you'll be surprised.

gui-agent now supports drag & drop! 🤘 The agent can now drag elements around the page with a visible pointer that actually picks up and carries a ghost copy of what it's moving to the drop target. PR github.com/aralroca/gui-agen…

From coding TO QUANTUM COMPUTING... Once quantum error correction is solved, datacenters won't need parallel processing on deterministic hardware anymore. That's all I'm saying.
Lots of discussion out there about our next model(!), so I wanted to give an early look as soon as possible. Introducing Gemini 4 Argon! It shows frontier performance in complex workflows, cyber defense and software engineering. Teams are using it extensively at Google, from coding to quantum computing, great feedback. Here’s a look at the benchmarks:

Announcing Gemini 4 Argon, our new frontier model. Argon is built to sustain deep reasoning across complex, long-horizon workflows and delivers frontier performance in complex workflows across real-world software engineering, enterprise knowledge work like legal and finance, and cybersecurity defense. We’re also expanding the model’s output token limit to an industry-leading 1M tokens. Argon is currently rolling out to a set of trusted cyber defenders in the Fairwind Program, with broader availability as soon as possible.

Real-world results are in for Claude Sonnet 5.5 (High) by @AnthropicAI. It just landed #4 in Code Arena: WebDev with 1699 pts, and has reshaped the Pareto frontier with its cost efficiency! Claude Sonnet 5.5 (High) delivers nearly top performance at a blended $8 per Mtoken, reshaping the Pareto frontier! This model is 80% cheaper than both Claude Fable 5.1 (Max) in the #3 spot overall, and GPT-6 Astra (Max) at #2. See Pareto placement below. Overall, Claude Sonnet 5.5 (High) is a +159 pt improvement from Sonnet 5 (High) at #37 with 1540 pts. This gain compared to its previous variant also shows up across these key domains so far: - Reference-Based Design: #38 → #4 - Simulations: #37 → #4 - Gaming: #36 → #4 Congrats to @AnthropicAI on this release!
Introducing Claude Sonnet 5.5, the second model in the Claude 5.5 family. It’s a clear upgrade over Sonnet 5, runs more than 30% faster, and costs up to 30% less for most work.

🎉 Exciting news: The first on-premise quantum computing deployment at the NVIDIA Accelerated Quantum Research Center (NVAQC) will be an @IonQ_Inc Superion 256 system, connected to NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 via NVQLink with workloads orchestrated by NVIDIA CUDA-Q. "As the first quantum processor to sit alongside the NVAQC’s GB200 NVL72 system, IonQ’s Superion 256 will help make breakthroughs allowing the global ecosystem to integrate QPUs with AI infrastructure, build using open models and open-source software, and advance toward scientifically useful quantum supercomputers.” - Timothy Costa Learn more ⤵️
The NVIDIA Accelerated Quantum Research Center (NVAQC) will have its first on-premise quantum computing deployment: an IonQ Superion 256 system. “We see this as the beginning of an exciting era of hybrid quantum-classical computing," says our CEO @NiccoloDeMasi. The NVAQC is designed to address the fundamental challenges of scaling quantum processors into a new class of accelerated quantum supercomputers. Connecting IonQ’s full-stack quantum systems directly with @nvidia AI infrastructure will help drive the breakthroughs needed to turn qubits into useful, large-scale quantum supercomputers capable of solving the world's hardest problems. Our quantum processing system will link directly with an NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 system via NVIDIA NVQLink. Workloads will be orchestrated by the open NVIDIA CUDA-Q platform. Big fusion power/AI news A conjecture dating back to 1967 was solved with the help of AI. GPT-6 Astra Pro helped discover a hidden transformation that converts a known symmetric fusion plasma solution into an exact asymmetric 3D solution while preserving equilibrium, effectively turning a decades old plasma physics problem into analytically solvable mathematics. This could help accelerate progress toward fusion power.
