For those not aware, NASA certified the Cybertruck as an Astronaut Emergency Egress Vehicle, allowing SpaceX to replace their aging MRAPs. If something goes wrong on the pad, the crew needs to get as far away as possible, as quickly as possible, and Cybertruck provides that speed and protection. A NASA spokesperson said that both the agency and SpaceX "assessed the capability of the vehicle for all situations that would be encountered in an emergency and found that the Cybertruck met NASA’s requirements."

As much as I like having more light in the afternoon, President Trump is wrong on this issue. The safer, healthier option is to “fall back,” stay on standard time permanently, and abandon daylight time.
🚨Just in: President Trump calls on the U.S. Senate fo make Daylight Saving Time Permanent Trump called out Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton for holding up the bill However, the U.S. Senate is in recess until after the midterm Elections The clocks will still change on November 1st

By weaponizing the federal government’s vast powers against President Biden’s political opponents, Jack Smith unwittingly made a few things abundantly clear: (1) the federal government is too big and too powerful, with far too much control over the day-to-day lives of hardworking Americans, (2) each party now assumes that when it holds the White House, the government will protect its own voters and interests—in part by keeping government officials busy harassing the other side, (3) while that primal instinct—to reward allies and punish enemies—can be observed in any institution run by humans, it becomes overwhelming with a government this large and powerful, especially where constitutional checks and balances have been weakened, and (4) it’s time for a constitutional reset: shrink the threat, restore constitutional limits on the federal government’s power (starting with federalism, separation of powers, and the “thou shalt nots” of the Bill of Rights), and put the government back in the business of empowering citizens rather than government itself.
JACK SMITH confirms to @ChuckGrassley that his team collected financial data Grassley said 4782 donor checks (many 5 to 10 dollars) from Americans was collected “no legitimate basis for what you did” Grassley said DOJ now has bank account, bank routing number, signature, address, phone number of Americans as a result of Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigation

ONE YEAR AGO, Captain Smit Machchhar was asked what's a bigger high: A smooth landing, or an on-time arrival? His answer: "None. Safe. You don't have to think about on time. They've hired other people to take care of that." "A positive landing. Safe landing where I'm supposed to land. If it turns out smooth, perfect." Today, stabbed by his co-pilot, he still got the cockpit door open so passengers could stop the hijacking. He saved the lives of all 174 passengers, and they had a safe landing. Thank you, Captain Machchhar.

Standing by what I explained two months ago. Demand for long-term capital to fund productive investment that increases prosperity across the board signals faith in the future. The best way to increase the size of the pie is through entrepreneurial capitalism—not government redistribution. That’s why President Trump has championed a pro-growth economic agenda based on supply-side policies: lower taxes, less regulation, more home-produced energy, savvy trade policies. As Treasury Secretary Bessent predicted, this set the table for both Main Street and Wall Street to succeed together in delivering a greater harvest for the American people. Socialism? That street always turns out to be a dead end.
Here is what I said yesterday about yields on long-term debt. Higher yields can be the result of high demand for long-term capital—the kind that funds innovative projects that result in productive economic growth and high future levels of prosperity. Thank you @MariaBartiromo.

No wonder I despise Washington, DC.
Power selects for a specific personality type, and it is not yours. F.A. Hayek spelled this out in 1944. In a centrally planned system, the people who rise are not the most competent or the most honest. They are the most willing to exercise force against strangers, the most comfortable with contradiction, and the most skilled at coalition-building through favors rather than merit. Government filters for the bad ones from the start. The mechanism is straightforward. Political power means controlling resources you did not earn. Capturing that control requires outcompeting rivals who have no ethical constraints. A principled candidate refuses to promise contradictory things to different voter blocs. An unprincipled one does it without blinking. The unprincipled one wins. Repeat this selection pressure across hundreds of electoral cycles and you get the U.S. Congress in 2026: a body where the average member has held office for over a decade, raised millions from interested parties, and delivered almost nothing measurable to the people who voted for them. Bureaucracy compounds the problem. Once entrenched, state agencies attract people who want authority without accountability. You cannot fire most of them. The FDA, the TSA, the Federal Reserve all function this way, staffed by individuals whose career advancement depends on expanding the agency's reach, never on serving you efficiently.

To vandalize takes seconds. To clean up takes much longer. Destruction is always easier than construction, just as death is easier than life. In the same way, communism is easier to impose than capitalism is to build.

WELL, WELL, WELL. The missing Blackbird apparently has a job waiting for her. Remember NASA 844? The SR-71 that mysteriously disappeared from its display at Armstrong after 26 years? Aviation Week is now reporting that NASA has been contacting former SR-71 personnel and asking them to help put her back in the air. Not preserve her. Not move her to another museum. Return her to flight. NASA 844 is the last SR-71 ever built and the last Blackbird ever flown. Her final flight was October 9, 1999: Mach 3.21 at 80,100 feet. Bringing her back after nearly 27 years would be an extraordinary engineering undertaking. The aircraft is only one piece of the problem. NASA would effectively have to reconstruct portions of an entire support ecosystem that disappeared with the Blackbird program. Yes, I am doing the happy dance. Somewhere Kelly Johnson just looked over at Ben Rich and said, “See? I told you they’d need her again.” aviationweek.com/defense/air…

As Frank Herbert wrote in Dune, “Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.” This pops in my head more often than ever... Thinking for yourself is maintenance. Read slowly. Argue with what you read, even if you agree with it. Write things down in your own clumsy words before you ask a machine to polish them. Keep the muscle.
