So happy to share @gabrielbgnn new portfolio! I handled the development with a focus on motions and interactions. Proud of how it came together 🥹 Check it out here : gabrielbeaugonin.com
My first portfolio is live. After years of building sites for other people, it felt good to finally take the time on my own, obsess over the details, and make something that actually feels like me. Not the flashiest thing out there. That’s the point. It’s about the experience, the flow, the small interactions. Big thanks to @dev_ya , who carried the development and did an incredible job. The whole thing runs on his work. → gabrielbeaugonin.com

Some websites shout for attention. Gabriel Beaugonin’s portfolio does the opposite. A unique layout, clever navigation, smooth animation, and thoughtful transitions, all packed with delightful micro-interactions. An easy Okay Pick.

two CTAs. that's all the folio needed. they follow you on every page, stay in the same spot, work the same way, and change as you move through the site.

Gonna start sharing more experiments from client projects and personal explorations. Some new, some from the archive 👀 Starting with this one: a prismatic trail and cubes reacting to the cursor, real-time in the browser with WebGPU + TSL ✦◽️

Browser graphics should feel this alive (watching the cubes chase the cursor is wild)

That cursor-reactive trail looks clean. WebGPU + TSL keeping the prismatics readable in real time is harder than it looks.

If you are a creator who truly cares about learning and making things. Design, code, art. I’m starting a small community. For those who care. Reply here to be added.

Totally understand that feeling.😖 Real learning is lost while the LLMs learn everything. Everyone and their grandma can generate stuff with prompts. I miss those times when people who share tutorials and code, based on their learnings. Many good blogs/creatives have gone quiet now. They don’t even feel like sharing their insights or ideas because no one respects it, and someone will just feed it as context to an LLM.😂 It’s quite disheartening from that perspective. But, I still respect and love seeing people create projects from scratch. People who actually care. Best to use AI for learning, but always use your own mind to implement things. Or filter search results to before 2022 and find hidden gems.

Really wanted the mobile version to feel just as considered as desktop. Happy with how this one turned out 🤝

infinite scroll between project pages on McAlpine, built at @LocomotiveMTL wanted it to read like turning pages in a book, one project flowing into the next. the trick was pausing the scroll and showing what's coming, otherwise seamless just feels like getting lost
