Today we’re opening applications for the sixth cohort of @firstround’s PMF Method, happening in Sonoma from 9/27 - 9/30. This intensive, four-day retreat has helped over 100 founders take a straighter path to PMF. We take 0% equity in your company. No accelerator fine print. PMF Method gave @jgreze the yardstick to see how his company was doing against both the different levels of PMF and his peers. His business was working but he threw it all away to pivot @TownAI into a bigger market. The company has now raised over $70M from a16z and First Round. @annembrandes had the idea for @conwayinc but learned new ways to pressure test it, along with enterprise sales frameworks she still uses today. She raised a seed from First Round and Kleiner Perkins, and now has millions in revenue. And @pk_iv founded @browserbase and had early traction, but got the benchmark data he couldn’t find elsewhere to make sure the company was on the right track. The company has raised $67M from CRV, Kleiner Perkins and Notable Capital. These three founders join PMF Method alumni — senior leaders from Anthropic, SpaceX, Stripe, Rippling and more — who’ve raised over $750M in the last 18 months. There are many paths to PMF. Few of them are a straight line. But one program can help increase your odds of finding PMF faster. Apply below:

We built the CMS for what today’s founders, marketers, and growth leaders need. It’s a completely native database layer in Ploy where you, your content, and Ploy’s agents work together to build some pretty unreal experiences.
Introducing: PloyDB!!! Databases + Agents + Complete flexibility to build anything you can imagine = PloyDB A completely new structural layer that makes running GTM motions at scale with Ploy simple. Now live 👇

Rare to see an internal tool go from 4 uses to 158 the week it launches. @useactively built AI FDE, a Slack agent with access to their whole codebase and every database. It fields 70%+ of customer escalations and cut first-response time in half. When it gets something wrong, they ask it to write a code change to itself. More here 👇
I wrote about building an AI Forward Deployed Engineer to automate myself out of customer loops as much as possible. I think building custom agents that understand the nuances of your business will be a huge focus over the next few years. Read below:

The agentic web doesn't need a better search page. It needs search that's cheap enough to disappear into every task. On 20VC with @HarryStebbings, @paraga predicts agents will search 1000x more than people and says each query needs 10-100x less compute. Interesting idea that the real bottleneck might be retrieval economics, not model intelligence. piped.video/watch?v=wTxb_whJ…

Our CEO and co-founder @burkaygur opened our GenMedia Conference in San Francisco this morning with one message: cost shouldn’t decide which ideas get made. We’re building every layer, from fal Agent and the H3 Max model family to the compute that runs them, so creatives, builders, and enterprises can make whatever they imagine.

Data is the biggest bottleneck for agents now, not models. Parallel just made it a config line -- Crunchbase, Harmonic, Polymarket, Apollo, Similarweb, plus free PubMed and ChEMBL, live inside @p0's research APIs. Bring your own license or pay per call.
Today we're launching Data Connectors in Parallel. Your agents can now work with specialized third-party data through Parallel's best-in-class agentic web research APIs. Our first partners are @AlliumLabs, @useapolloio, @Baselayerhq, @CarbonArcAI, @crunchbase, Faraday AI, @harmonic_ai, @MiddeskHQ, @Similarweb , @particle_news, @pensa_systems, and @Polymarket. We're also launching free, opt-in access to biomedical sources including PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, and ChEMBL.

Generative media is blowing up. That’s the gist of Vol.2 of @fal’s State of Generative Media report, which just came out today. So much to dig into here ahead of their Generative Media Conference later this week, here’s a few findings that stood out to me: - The AI-native companies drove the first wave, but enterprise is now the fastest-growing segment on fal (grew more than 4x in 6 months) - 3D and spatial is the fastest growing modality at 163%. Images and video improved quickly, but 3D was hard to crack as it’s very complex, compute-heavy and unforgiving. By generating the underlying material data (the full set of PBR maps a renderer actually needs) rather than a flat picture of a surface, there have been massive improvements here (fal’s homegrown Patina model is a good example). - Embedded generation is also growing faster than standalone generation. Most people will never bother picking a model on their own. Object removal, virtual try on, extra product angles etc, will all be generated running inside tools people already use like Canva and Figma. - It’s more about what combo of small, fast, task-trained models you can chain together, vs. one single greatest model to rule them all. (@ailker has a good metaphor here: You wouldn’t expect a single person to have a Michelin star, an Oscar, and a World Cup trophy.) - As @OdinLovis writes, that is why there are around 1400 models on fal. Even the far less powerful ones can do something no other model can. They integrate roughly a model a day (!!)

Parallel Search is now available in @baseten. Pick Parallel for the most accurate web search at the lowest price. Your agents will thank you for the upgrade.
Until now, adding web search to open-source models meant hand-wiring orchestration, managing separate keys, and paying latency taxes on every round trip. Today, we're solving that. We're excited to introduce Baseten Hosted Tools and Baseten Grounded Inference to bring real-time web search server-side to open models running on Baseten through a single configuration: - 15% lower latency compared to client-side execution - No extra vendor key required - Zero orchestration We're launching this preview version with four leading web search partners, @ExaAILabs, @KeenableAI, @p0, and @youdotcom. Get frontier-level web search parity for your open-weight models. More here: baseten.co/blog/introducing-…

Despite what the billboards say, demand for great sellers (especially at hot AI companies in SF!) is at an all-time high. Products are becoming more technical and features are changing faster. Categories are becoming extremely crowded with new entrants pretty much every day, while buyers are harder to reach as they get overwhelmed with outbound slop. The easier it gets to build software, the more valuable it becomes to be great at selling it. For someone who’s early in their career or looking for a change, trying to get exceptionally good at that craft is a pretty interesting bet to make right now. We want to help more people make that move and break into sales even if they don’t have any previous experience, so today we’re launching @firstround Sales Combine. After two days of FREE training in SF, we’ll make direct intros to companies @NotionHQ, @clay, @fal, @togethercompute, @p0, @reductoai and many others. Apply by 10/3: firstround.com/sales-combine And see a preview of the training sessions here: firstround.com/sales-craft

The alpha for application layer AI companies has always been in figuring out the right shape of the product that makes tokens incredibly valuable in each domain. Really enjoyed this conversation with the @AnthropicAI team + @WisprFlow @pendoio founders on the future of building agents and how it's getting easier and faster to just focus on the product and take concepts from prototype to production!
We sat down with the founders of @WisprFlow, @useactively, and @pendoio, who are building on Claude Managed Agents. Learn how they used features like outcomes, sandboxing, and memory to scale their products.

Things Parallel (@p0) shipped this summer... • Search Turbo - web search for agents at 200ms median latency and $1 per 1,000 requests • Search Fast - near-frontier search quality at ~700ms average latency, also $1 per 1,000 requests • Entity Search - find people and companies in seconds using plain English • Monitor API GA - watches the web and pushes updates to your agent, with citations • Google Cloud integration - native web grounding inside Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform • Responses API - live-web research with citations, using the OpenAI SDK. Three-line switch • Free default web search for new OpenClaw installs • Index - lets publishers see how Parallel’s agents use their content and get paid for it • The full API suite on Google Cloud Marketplace, billed on your existing GCP invoice And Search Advanced ranked #1 when Artificial Analysis launched its Search Index in August. artificialanalysis.ai/articl… Hard to make this tweet short. @p0 team is relentless.

Cool use case
I built AI QVC Submit a product and it gets queued up to be sold live by an AI host. And the stream is actually live - ask questions in chat and the host responds on air. Its called Pixelshop: pixelshop.com Powered by H3 Max Turbo from @fal A fun glimpse at what becomes possible when video generation gets fast enough. Give it a try!
