I think auto dealerships, and gas stations and mattress chains are gonna get disrupted out of existence.

Large movie theater chains are Blockbuster in 2005/6 where it’s obvious to people under a certain age they’re dead and wondering why they’re still open, but others are like “No, people like to do blah blah blah in person”

Really interesting that most of responses focus on the bust side and not the growth! Blockbusters growth was just as remarkable as the fall to me. Too early to put clubhouse in this category?

Could you please give your opinion on this book: "Built to Fail: The Inside Story of Blockbuster's Inevitable Bust" by Alan Payne? I want to understand the reasons behind Blockbuster's fall.

Fast food chains that don’t offer healthy options. People eat themselves into a co-morbid illness, sealed with an annual covid variant kiss. French fries and soda will literally kill off customers into evolutionarily-fueled insolvency.
